Tropical Smoothie Cafe

I don’t like to leave reviews for bad experiences I have with restaurants but this was so important that I do this time. I arrive to this location to order a super green Caesar wrap with Turkey & chips, Avocolada Smoothie, and a chia oatmeal pudding bowl. First they handed me the first bag which had an expired chia oatmeal pudding bowl. The sticker on the lid had an employee’s name on it with the date she made it which was 8/24/2024 and the expired date stated use by Thursday which would have been 8/29/2024. Today is Friday 8/30/2024 when I made my purchase. I got the lady’s attention at the window to let her know that the sticker on this bowl says it’s expired, I thought y’all make these fresh to order. She said, “Yes mam. We do. I’m sorry. We will get you another one.”. So another lady comes to bring me another one and states, “I made this one myself.” I guess to let me know she made it fresh. She did apologized multiple times and I accepted because I don’t believe in giving people a hard time. But it really was a turn off for me being that I am a few weeks pregnant and just think if I would have eaten that spoiled food. They proceeded to give me my wrap and chips then I left. When I got to work I noticed the wrap was very skimpy with the ingredients and it was not slightly toasted how it’s suppose to be, my chia oatmeal pudding bowl had more Greek yogurt than it did oatmeal so it was very tart. Not to mention I waited in line for almost 30 minutes for my order and I was the only customer in line and later one other car came. I’ve been coming to this location on my way to work since they’ve opened and over the years I’ve seen a lot of turn overs in employees, the quality of the food has declined, and the speed/quality of service has also declined. I don’t wish any bad for anyone because it takes courage to open a business, but it is also vital that your employees have great customer service and integrity to keep the business successful. Unfortunately I won’t be visiting this location for a while, if at all. But I wish you all the best. I pray things gets better.

This location was far below average for this smoothie cafe corporate giant. For starters, we came in, nobody was at the counter. Kinda stood around looking/waiting for staff for a few minutes. Finally after a little while we were able to place our order. I am not certain, but I don’t believe the add-ins we paid for made it into our smoothies, because the taste was too sweet to have the added protein. Overall, I’d skip this one and check out other smoothie options in the area.

Their Bowls are the best, 2nd preference shall be smoothies. On May4, 2024 i ordered a Acai Bowl from Ambassador location and its best. I also tried their Carencro,LA location for smoothies.

It always takes 40 minutes for me to get my food everything I come to this location... all the other locations are way faster and batter. It's just this one location that's always so slow for some reason....even though its not even busy its slow.

The watermelon one was delicious ? and I especially liked the buffalo chicken, very good. I'll be back ?

We love the food options. Wish they had seafood choices. The staff are nice but often gets the order wrong when asking for the sandwich to be prepared differently then how it’s offered. Lobby is always clean. Music is sometimes too loud.We go several days per week. I would recommend.

Love the smoothies here. Different varieties to wake you up, detox or fruity or vegetable/ fruity, all delicious. There are different types of wraps, flat breads and quesadillas with chicken and other proteins. This is a healthier but delicious alternative to fast food.

Consistently awesome service! The drive thru is very quick, the people are so friendly - I highly recommend this location!
