La Papa Loca | Mexican is one of the best restaurants in Lafayette for the most amazing food. The chips are served with two sauces; one salsa and one that had an avocado taste. The taco plate with barbacoa, asada & al pastor comes out very quickly. The Papa Loca, a baked potato with toppings, is recommended. The Tacos Dorados Mexicanos, Tacos Dorados Hondurenos, and Baleadas Hondurenos are also available. The Loco Burrito is massive, flavorful, and filling. The tilapia fish dish was fresh and cooked perfectly. The quesabirria tacos are absolutely perfect, though there are no sides. The birrias and pork rips were incredible. Margaritas are big and strong with real fruit in them. The service is incredible, excellent, and kind. The staff explains the menu and shares great recommendations. The atmosphere is great. Very well priced. Some guests complained that their food was soggy or under seasoned. A spot to recommend and look forward to going back to, especially during happy hour 3-6pm for 2x1 drinks.
