Lafayette's best places for Mexican cuisine are in our list.
“The staff is excellent and the food/adult beverages are on point, we highly recommend. I think if you would Post on your page more often about the great entertainment you have from Wednesday through Friday including karaoke the place will stay packed.“
“Such a great find while traveling through! I'd come back here 10/10 so good, authentic, and great portions/value.Got the vegetarian quesadilla- amazing! Guac and rice with it. The steak burrito, and birria tacos with consume ?? f taco bellzsht ?“
“My first time eating at a TexMex restaurant. It was quite amazing considering it wasn't Mexican food. The food had its own twist to it. My waitress Hailey G. was so pleasant & very helpful in helping me order. She also made a suggestion which turned out perfect, having a choice of which sauce I preferred, had it on the side instead of over my food. Wise advice for my taste! I plan on going back, the food was great!! I also will suggest having Hailey as my waitress because of her professionalism..“
“Our favorite Mexican restaurant in the area! The food never disappoints! They have the best chips and salsa, and the chori-queso is sooooo good. We always get the pollo loco and fajita chicken quesadilla as our meals. Definitely try this place out!“
“When I drive by this place it doesn’t seem like an “authentic” spot for Mexican food. Luckily I was wrong and finally gave it a try. Ordered a torta which came on a light and fluffy bolillo with lots of flavorful ingredients. Also had a Gordita which had a nice crisp texture. The salsa that came with the chips was not spicy, unfortunately but did have a good flavor. The taco salsas have the spice. Service was friendly, just a little slow. Will definitely keep this one in the rotation.“
“My favorite food truck in Lafayette. The #9 Tacos (with al pastor) for $8 is my go-to item. The pickled carrots on the side are great. Used to split the meat choice with 2 al pastor and 2 lengue tacos, until the server occasionally wanted to add an additional charge of $3+ for the beef tongue. A bottle of Jarritos Mandarin is $3.“
“This truck has the best authentic barbacoa I've found in Lafayette! I usually get the 3 taco plato with 2 barbacoa and 1 pastor. The refried beans are sometimes a little soupy, but the mexican rice and awesome tacos make up for it. $10 thats it!!“
“It is a very familiar and welcoming atmosphere, the customer service was fine, average, nothing surprisingly good. The food was delicious and it didn't take that long to wait, and the portions were quite adequate and large. Good experience.“

“Don't let the fact that this is inside a convenience store stop you from trying some of the best Honduran food in South Louisiana. They don't pre-cook anything, so plan on 30 minutes for your order to be made ready. Call in before.“

“The best Mexican food I've ever eaten and for a really good price and if you haven't eaten here yet you messing up your LIFE and really need to examine how you really been to yourself...Parking: Too many parking options for realKid-friendliness: Nothing drastic happening and low key“
“This place is a little hidden gem. They make Pupusas and baleadass. The first is similar to an arepa just different style dough, and the later like a burrito. The menu has many choices of meals as well. The food is made fresh, and has always been delish. Prices are great as well. Many people haven't eaten Honduran food, but it's a hand ups food joint. They have some prepared drinks like at Mexican restaurants, horchata and other flavors. Many choices of soda like Mexican Cokes, and lots of flavored sodas including Jarritos. Great experience every time I pick up food. Usually Futbol on the tv. They also sell music cds of vallenatos, and other styles.“
“Small restaurant but a nice atmosphere. I only ordered an a la carte cheese enchillada and chile relleno. The relleno was very good. The enchilada was ok. My friend enjoyed the fajitas. Our server was very friendly and nice. Will return to try other dishes. A little pricier than some restaurants but enjoyable. I visited a second time and we enjoyed again.“
“Have tried a ton of restaurants since moving to Lafayette about four months ago and this was one of the best experiences yet. We sat at the bar and received the best service. I cannot remember the bar tenders name since this was a couple of weeks ago but she was a step ahead of our every request ensuring we had the best experience. This will definitely be a regular stop for us.“
“To me El Pollo is like the everyday man's Chipotle. Great menu, service and ambience. Their skills with such a simple thing as chicken is fantastic, it's consistently well seasoned, always moist, delicious and reasonably priced. Love the toppings bar, the pico de gallo is good and fresh. Great staff and good in and out dinning.“
“This place is amazing!!! The staff is very nice and professional, they are a VERY clean establishment with incredible food! I've tried almost everything from this place and never been disappointed! Every time I come into town this will forever be my go to spot“
“My recent visit to Agave Mexican Grill & Cantina was capped off with a delightful dessert: crab cake. It was a savory and satisfying treat that provided a unique twist to my meal. The restaurant's lively ambiance and friendly service enhanced the overall dining experience. If you're looking for inventive desserts and Mexican cuisine, Agave Mexican Grill & Cantina is definitely worth a visit.“
“If you guys aren't eating here you're missing out. This is a restaurant that needs you in it. The food is wonderful and the guacamole is the best. They say that you can always tell when the food is good when English is not the spoken language in the door. These guys are for real deal, they were a great truck and now an even better brick and mortar.if Mexican food is your craving go baby go.“
“Friendly service and awesome food! Tacos were great! I really like their homemade hot sauce too! The sauce is pretty thick, so you know they blend them by hand, but its sooo good! Must check out this awesome taco spot, its hidden, so be on the lookout for it!Check @eatinglafayette on Instagram and Facebook for more Lafayette food things!“
“Been coming here since about 2010 and the food is always amazing. Living in Lake Charles I do not get to come as often but me and my husband took my grandma here tonight at the new location. Same great taste and excellent customer service. My husband said this is probably the best Mexican food around and that is high praise coming from a Texas boy. Will most definitely be back! The chunky guac is amazing. We had the spicy burrito, fajita burrito and taco salad. All was amazing! Also our server, Fernando, was great and my grandma really loved the way he joked around with her.“
