“Our group of nine all loved their food and drink. The margaritas were fabulous! We went on a beautiful evening and enjoyed their patio. We've gotten take out from here a bunch of times. One of our local favorites.Try the taco al carbon! Mmmmm!Kid-friendliness: Super kid friendly“
“This is the best Mexican in Baton Rouge. They have the best salsa! It is a roasted salsa so less acidic, which is what I love about it. Also they have an awesome, creamy green salsa. The table side guac is great too. There's no question they have the best fajitas in Baton Rouge. The chicken is sliced thin and the flavor is just awesome. I don't usually go for steak fajitas but I do here because it's always tender rather than chewy like lots of other places. Homemade tortillas of course, and you see them being made as you walk in. Love this place and when I want good Mexican, it is always my first choice!“
“I found this place online while looking for something new to try for lunch with my family on a Saturday. I was pleasantly surprised to see the simple, modern decor. We also really were impressed with the large menu selection of creative twists on classic dishes. It was a bit pricey but overall a great experience for a treat.“
“We go here weekly. This particular night was unusually busy so the kitchen was backed up and it took a long time for our entrees to come out but the server was good at keeping us informed and was diligent in checking on our order. Food was well worth the wait. Unruly kids were running around in the outdoor seating area with careless parents which the manager sufficiently addressed and got it under control. The prices are outrageous but we keep going!“
“Torchy's provided an exceptional dining experience that far exceeded expectations. Torchy's combines great food with impeccable service, thanks in no small part to team members like Morgan. Her helpfulness and lovely demeanor added a special touch to our visit, making us feel genuinely cared for.“
“I really enjoyed this! You never know what to expect when you get modern takes on Mexican food. They did a great job. The food was flavorful and the portions weren't small! I was only able to eat about half! The tortillas tasted homemade and the salsa verde was ?!!!Can't wait to go back for margs!Vegetarian options: Veggie tacos looked as good as fajitas!Parking: Ample places to park in a shared lot.“
“I've been to both locations and glad they opened this one closer to my house. They sat us quickly, service was friendly, and kitchen was efficient. Food had the perfect temperature and taste. The best part is that the manager and owner came to check on us. Made us feel valued.“
“The tacos at this restaurant were absolutely amazing. The flavors were rich and delicious, and the size portions were generous. I highly recommend trying them out if you ever find yourself in Baton Rouge. Trust me, you won't regret it! Overall, I would rate these tacos a perfect 10 out of 10.“
“The best Mexican restaurant in Baton Rouge. Food is amazing and the staff is super friendly. The bartender, Josh makes the best Skinny Margaritas! The manager, Abdalla is welcoming and is the best. Be sure to stop by and try the Fish Avocado Salad, Taco Salad, hamburger, burrito, or El Mario. The murals on the walls are great to look at.“
“We did not know what to expect but were pleasantly surprised at the quality of the food and service. The food tastes great/yummy. The price is very reasonable/cheap. Their customer service is excellent/ second to none. I would recommend this to anyone and will visit again every day.“
“The pupusas were great!! I got a bean and cheese pupusa. I also asked for it to be not excessively filled , and they did it perfectly.I also got a taco al pastor, which is marinated pork. It was pretty good! The green sauce is very spicy, but I really liked the red sauce and the stuff they put in to put on the pupusa. I think without the added sauce and cabbage stuff, the pupusa would be a bit bland for my taste. But with it, it was great and I’ll definitely come back for more!My food was ready on time, and the lady who gave it to me was great.“
“Ordered from door dash and I am very impressed with this place. The burrito is so stuffed and full of flavor, the salsa and queso are amazing, but the empanadas were over cooked (that seems to be a problem with most places around here). Overall it was very filling and tasty! Oh and maybe they could add napkins next time....it was a bit messy but in a good way!!“
“Good atmosphere and decorationExcellent service and attentionVery delicious food... if you are visiting the USA and want something Mexican, don't hesitate to come here and try the quezabirrias.Greetings from tourists from Huacana Michoacán and Coatzacoalcos Veracruz.“
“I rarely write reviews, but this is place...the location specifically is the best. One of the best customer service I have experienced. Food is fresh and every single worker has been so accommodating and sweet. The spicy queso is my favorite!“
“Food has always been really good and plentiful. I had the shrimp quesadillas on Friday for lent and they were great ! Brisket quesadillas are my favorite. Love the salsa and bean dip provided complimentary. This place is so much better than Cabos in Plaq. ! No comparison. Bar area nice , like a mini sports bar. Good atmosphere. The owner/ manager is friendly and handles any concerns quickly. Would recommend to others.“
“Turns out you can't commit a crime while eating here! LIKE WHAT?!? Why call your restaurant "ILLEGAL BURRITO" if you have to follow the law while inside the establishment?!? I don't understand and the stupid handcuffs hurt my wrists. From now on, if I want to break the law while eating Mexican food, I'm going to Taco Bell, because they don't prosecute. Only eat here if you like good food and following the "Federal and State" rules or whatever.“
“Took the baby for his first sit down meal and he was so good. Son had the Brisket Fajitas and I had a combination plate. The fajitas were excellent, tender meat. The enchilada, tamale and soft taco was a great combo of chicken and beef and delicious. Started my Grand with fries but he ate most of my rice and beans, he num num after every bite. We all give Cabos a 5 star ⭐️“
