The vintage diner vibe was very nice! Food and menu had both salty and sweet options, I tried one of their waffles which was very tasty and crispy. My brother tried one of their breakfast sandwiches which was also absolutely delicious. Our server, Nicole was very nice and delightful!

The big girl that works the night shift is bottom of the barrel LOW QUALITY representation of the company. She claimed the “fluffy waffle maker” was broken because she wanted to continue being lazy to play on her phone (per usual), knowing that all the waffle makers are the same. Her body language and unwarranted attitudes so doesn’t flatter her, to say the least.

The waitstaff was really attentive but not overly in your face. They were kind to the 4 yr old little human that was super hyped up, but he over all tone was nice and relaxing, I honestly do think I’ve ever been to a Waffle House that was so accommodating. Another thing is that it wasn’t even freezing in there like every other Waffle House I’ve been to.

I first ate at this Waffle House on Saturday 4/12/25 around 1pm after dropping my wife off at the airport. I was welcomed, great service great food. I didn’t see anything wrong and didn’t use the bathroom. Then, on Saturday 4/19/25 around 4pm after picking up my wife from the airport we stopped at the same Waffle House. As we were driving into the parking lot the only waitress was sitting behind the building (didn’t actually see her smoking but I assumed she was). As we were walking into the restaurant, I watched to see if she would wash her hands and she did not. As she comes and takes our order I see the cook sharpening his knife. He went straight from sharpening the knife to cutting onions. When sharpening a knife it will leave tiny metal pieces and should have been washed with soap and water but wasn’t. Yes, we did eat even after everything that we observed. When the food was brought to us I went to use the bathroom and OMG, the stink was awful. The toilet, sink and floors were filthy. I thought I was going come down with something the next day but I didn’t (YET). We were almost finished with our meals and the waitress went out the door and headed to the back of the building (maybe to smoke Idk). When she comes back in again, she didn’t wash her hands. She was very nice and the service and food was good but people can get sick from the filth. When I worked for a restaurant many years ago, we were told that if the bathrooms or the dining area are filthy where the customers can view just think what is going on in the back.
Wednesday morning 11-ish. The waitstaff is great. scrambled eggs were more like the cook forgot to scramble until right before plating. Everything else was good. We have eaten here several times before and will continue when we pass through Lafayette.

Waffle house very rarely disappoints me. Good food quickly every time
Sign on door and restrooms said out of order, but we were told they work for "select" customers. When we entered, we were not greeted. Our waitress barely spoke above a whisper and mostly sat at the counter with a calculator doing something with her tickets. There were 3 tables and 2 people at the bar with 6 workers. We never got the coffee that was ordered. She delivered everything one plate at a time, and we had to keep asking for stuff like butter for the waffles. Won't go back to this location. Would not recommend.
