Love food but, I have called in 15-20 minutes that they stated would be ready and it wasn't fixed yet, I left my home 5 minutes, arriving at due time. My order was not ready nor started each times, so a I had another 15-20 minute wait in my car. I will state again I Love the food but, I refuse the delays of my time, when I have called in 15-20 minutes before time for pick-up order.

Today for dinner I decided to go to Balls Chicken. A family owned business located on Enterprise Blvd on Lake Charles La. Balls has been around for as long as I can remember. I went to High School with one of the sons. That tells you about how ago that's been over 30 years and still going strong. WOW. They also opened a second location on Common Street near Mcnesse State University here in Lake Charles La. The food at Balls is like home cooking. The chicken is always a little spicy and always hot and delicious. They also have great sides lime Fried Okra, Potato Salad, Red Beans and Rice and fries. I've tried every one of them and im never disappointed. The menu is fairly big as you will see. They have homemade pies, Boudin, shrimp and fish dinners, Hamburgers, Fishburgers, Shrimp on a Bun, Pork Chop Burger. You name it they got it. I usually visit Balls at least 2-3 times a month. So if you're passing through Lake. Charles La or visiting the Casinos give balls a try. You won't be disappointed.

Ball's is something every Lake Charles resident should know about. The chicken is much better than Popeye's Spicy. It is made for the Louisiana palate. The sides are really good: potato salad, red beans, fried okra. My favorite is the potato salad, it's what you expect when you go to grandma's. Customer service is casual, friendly. They responded well to COVID-19 and seemed to really care about safety - but in my experience Ball's is mostly a takeout place anyway. Best chicken in town.
