Ball's Fried Chick-N

This is the best chicken I’ve ever had in my life and I’m heartbroken it’s not open right now. It’s like your auntie made it and the service is always quick and fun. I miss them.

Today for dinner I decided to go to Balls Chicken. A family owned business located on Enterprise Blvd on Lake Charles La. Balls has been around for as long as I can remember. Ball's is something every Lake Charles resident should know about. The chicken is much better than Popeye's Spicy. It is made for the Louisiana palate. The sides are really good: potato salad, red beans, fried okra. My favorite is the potato salad, it's what you expect when you go to grandma's. Customer service is casual, friendly. They responded well to COVID-19 and seemed to really care about safety - but in my experience Ball's is mostly a takeout place anyway. Best chicken...read full review
