We were in Lake Charles for Fat Tuesday and discovered this gem. We walked into a war welcome and smiles from the staff. I had the “Maddie’s Shrimp Grilled Cheese”, fried, flavorful shrimp sandwiched between a good grade of cheese and perfectly, buttered slices of bread. My friend enjoyed “The Cardiac” omelette breakfast which came with toast and hash-browns. The omelette was a heaping serving of bacon, sausage & cheese inside. I’m going back every time possible I visit Lake. Charles.

Wanted to give this place a try based on the reviews, and we were very happy we did. We did the downtown location...was ample parking for early lunch time on a Monday. The 2 service gentlemen were extremely nice and helpful. The food was plainly good. Wife and I loved every bite of the burger and breakfast sandwich. Good old-fashion southern diner cooking at it's best. Highly recommend.

If you are looking for a good homemade hamburger this is the place. It is a place where locals go as it was full at lunch time. Just moving here a year ago, I did not know the routine. Once I realized you must order from counter and menu was on the wall, I was fine. They bring your burger to the table. On the far side they have lots of yummy locking ice-cream. Great place to grab a quick lunch when you are downtown or for lunch hour.

Today we had a delicious hamburger and shared an order of the hand, battered string style onion rings - everything was so delicious… This was the downtown location on Broad Street…The service was friendly and the atmosphere is like a nostalgic 1950 style diner…I highly recommend going here if you want a juicy and tasty burger and onion rings in Lake Charles

I actually looooove Cottons so it really sucks to be turned away 35minutes(2:25pm) before close (3pm). If the hours are different they should update them.

🔥 Just tried the Cotton's Downtown AFLAC Burger and I'm HOOKED! 😋 Had it yesterday, had to come back for more. Got some surround shot footage of this beauty with a side of hash browns loaded with grilled onions and cheese 🍔👌. Yum doesn't even cover it. Delicious! 🤤 Thanks, Cotton's Downtown! 👍

These folks burgers are good but what’s not good is they close to early ! That is ridiculous to close early like that what’s the matter what’s the reason for shutting down early not giving folks no time to even get some food

We had a shrimp burger and the burger with bacon, cream cheese, and 7 pepper jelly. We also had a small mix of French fries and onion rings. Everything was delicious! The gentleman at the register was very friendly! I would definitely recommend this diner!
