It is more of a brunch place for me, the dinner menu isn’t as good as brunch in my opinion. Having said that the tomahawk steak was delicious and cooked perfectly and served with an amazing butter sauce. Relaxing atmosphere and super nice wait staff

I made reservations for tonight to treat my sweet husband to a nice evening. We were amazed at the care Slick showed us! I asked him to surprise me with a rum drink. He did outstanding! And, after I asked what the rum was, he showed me the bottle. Super impressive. Our food (beat salad, fried cheese and filet with asparagus) was so very good. Each bite was like it's own food experience. We will definitely be returning soon. This place should be packed out on a Friday night! Thank you Slick!!!

Ordered at 7:20 pm. Received our food cold at 8:15. The excuse was it was busy but the tables are empty. I expected more from how much I paid. Will not recommend to friends or family.

Amazing food! There wasn’t a plate we didn’t enjoy on our date night! The blue cheese salad was ombré best I’ve ever had and the bar selection was great as well!

Fire & Oak is a seriously overlooked gem in lake Charles! The food is great and offers a good variety at good prices. When you go, you’ve got to try the Brussels sprouts! The drinks are also delicious. Good food. Good atmosphere. Great servers.

Wanted to love it. Brunch was just okay. Drinks were terribly over priced ($12 for a Kailua and Cream), service was slow (45 minutes to get all of our drinks) and food was not flavorful. Everything was brought out piecemeal - no one ate at the same time. Great location but not sure if we will go back anytime soon.

Went for dinner on a Saturday night, place was dead. Service was extremely slow and was not busy at all! Menu is simple, not many options.. food was okay however, not worth the price! Will not return!

Nice new restaurant. Clean. Server was Alex in the bar area and he was super friendly and knowledgeable. We had the fried oysters and Brussels sprouts appetizers - both really good. I had the sea bass and it was perfect. Outside patio are and a spacious dining are and cozy bar. Check it out if you are in the area.

I really wanted to be impressed. The guy that took us to our table was not friendly. He looked like we were a bother. He moved very slowly, like he didn't care about the guest or the restaurant. The look on his face as he approached us as we came in the restaurant was off-putting. He sat us at a table with water glasses that were filthy. The sunlight shining through the windows unmasked the dirtiness. Be sure to Zoom in on my attached pic.We started with an appetizer of fried cheese. We figured, try something and see if the food is good. Two round balls were brought to our table. Ever eat cold, fried cottage cheese? How long did they sit before they were served to us cold? We paid and left to go eat at The Villa Harlequin. Get a new Host- Someone engaging and friendly that moves with purpose. Serve fried foods hot.

WE LOVE SLICK!! Best bartender there is. Hard-working and very friendly. Always makes us feel welcome and is VERY good at his job.

I think this place has so much potential. Every time I have come here, the food, service, and cocktails have been very good. The portion/value leaves more to be desired. I am not crazy about the menu - nothing stands out on paper as something I need to have. I also wish they would push more monthly off-menu specials - The chicken and dumpling gnocchi was a nice surprise. Don't miss out on the brussels sprouts or blueberry mojito.

The cocktails are hands-down the best in Lake Charles! The staff truly could not be any more friendly. For me, the food is a like but not love.

The menu leaves a lot to be desired. Overpriced. My drink $14! Ridiculous. Won't go back. Apparently they don't want children. Nothing on the menu for a child.

Not ready for customers no kids menu clean but everything is over priced not good. Dont bother coming here waste of time.

The drinks are expensive but they are hand crafted with quality ingredients. The old fashion is one of the best in town. Limited menu, however the food was very flavorful. We had the fried burratta for an appetizer and it was delicious. The spicy chicken sandwich was made with a chicken thigh instead of a breast which is different but also pretty delicious! I will probably be back to try more of the menu.
