Good food, kinda noisy...quite a wait last time we were there (3/22/26-sunday,1pm)

Really neat place....3 places to eat...dining room....bar area w/entertainment.....outdoors.....

We waited for them to clear a table when several were already cleared and ready. We had a toddler with us and we're never asked if we needed a high chair. I had to ask our waitress if they had them. Once we ordered we waited over an hour for our entrees which mine was cold and salty. The others in my party also said the fries that came with their sandwiches were also salty. Chairs were hard and very uncomfortable. Service from the waitress was the best part. Oh and the sweet tea was really good.

Took my sons to eat at Lunas South location on May 20th for dinner. Service was incredibly slow, took close to 30 minutes to get fried green beans and artichoke dip. While waiting for the appetizers, I watched one of the wait staff drop utensils and a saucer on the floor and put back on the table. I let our waitress know and she went and cleared the whole table. We waited for an hour and had not received our dinner and decided to leave. The total of the ticket was 33.23 and I gave a 3 dollar tip and left. I checked my bank statement today May 22nd and had been charged 50.23. They are going to reimburse the whole charge, but sounds like theft to me by the waitress. Better keep your receipts dinning at Lunas South.

Worst service in Lake Charles. I've tried it 3 different times. It doesn't seem to make any difference as to the number of tables to be serviced. It has consistently been VERY slow...very frustrating! Won't be back!

This was such a disappointing lunch. When we arrived, we were told that the kitchen was backed up and it could take 30-45 mins for our food but if we ordered sandwiches they would be out in 20-30 mins. 55 MINS LATER our food arrived- one sandwich was incorrect, so my son didn’t even eat. After waiting that long we were all hoping the food would be better.

The food was really really good. Party of four. Everyone enjoyed their dish. Turkey burger, Orion salmon, tuna Cassidy, chicken Ella. If you're hungry the chicken Ella was a lot.
We sat outside 1 it was a nice day, 2 it was a little cool inside and loud. Loud because of the reverb off the walls. We were told in advance it would be a while because of short staffing in the kitchen. They did a great job of making sure we were okay until the food came. Worth the wait. Never felt rushed.

Texas born and raised and worked in Louisiana for a long time and been all over and I recommend this place and the Dragon Tuna Steak!!! All the food here is amazing and nothing is not like able but I will say if your in town to gamble La'burge or the Golden Nugget this is the place to come!!! The atmosphere and food and staff you can't beat and especially on top of the price!!!

This is the best hidden gem in Lake Charles. My husband and I frequently travel and always with our lil 5lb baby Mia. Today was just a pass thru there, having lunch with my daughters and decided to try this location out since I was traveling with my baby. Whenever I run across any restaurant that definitely deserves its flowers, only then will I comment.. And its definitely this place. Very inviting, clean and nice decor. We utilized the patio area , which is very pet friendly and relaxing. (For well behaved pets of course). The manager (Jordan) was very polite and courteous when I called to see if this location was pet friendly. He answered, even though they were yet open. He even took the time to come out and greet us. Our waitress (Kadence) was so nice respectful and attentive. She was so helpful with our ordering and with anything we may have needed. The drinks...Lets discuss these drinks. VERY DELICIOUS. I definitely had to ask, Who's making these drinks? The bartender (Emmalee) knows what she's doing. I've had many drinks and I'm very particular about the quality of them. That was the absolute best lemon drop I've EVER had. It may seem like an easy drink to make but trust me, many have messed even that up. If I wasnt traveling home to Texas, I could have easily had another....or 2. And the food was really good as well. This place is definitely in my top 3. Definitely recommended. Will come again. To everyone that had any part in our experience there today, THANK YOU.

We went here with the family and had great food. I ordered the Uranus, “grilled pork chop”. It was delicious and the fries were crisp and seasoned well. For a family of 6 the price for lunch was under $100. The food was fresh and a great place to stop for lunch.

I had food poisoning from either their crab dip, crawfish bread, or cream spinach side. I know it was from Luna because those are the only things I ate that day. I was throwing up & had all the other fun symptoms of food poisoning at 4 AM. A plus, DoorDash made a mistake in delivery & a man who worked at Luna South was kind enough to call and make sure it wasn’t a duplicate order.

March 2026 - A. Bourdain salad with shrimp, really good!! AND artichoke dip and corn & crab bisque, DELICIOUS!!!

Dec. 15, 2025 - Burger & artichoke dip for a meal! DELICIOUS!

July 2025 - Fried avocado with crawfish was DELICIOUS!!! Hot dip of artichoke & spinach with fresh chips was awesome too. Corn & crab bisque were also great. Believe it or not, we had a REAL large slice of lemon for the tea.
The tea was great, too. Caitlin, our waitress was perfect, too. Even had leftovers to bring home.

Visit on 4-16-2025. Spinach & artichoke dip was the best ever! Crab & corn bisque was delicious, too. The petite Apollo was 8 large fried shrimp with slices of avocado and a creamy sauce, OH MY GOSH! DELICIOUS -
Tea is still the best in town. Waitress Morgan was A+ on everything. Great job, Dave, as always.

August 19, 2025 - Same food again, it is still so GOOD!
