We visited and dined-in Pit Grill during the weekend. Dennys had an extremely long wait time and Golden Corral was closed due to electrical issues. We had a group of 10. The breakfast wait time was about 10mins. The order wait time was satisfactory. The staff was courteous. The atmosphere was pleasant. Menu prices were very reasonable. Our hostess, Jeorgie, was great and helpful. The food was good. However, the pancakes were flat & tough vs. light & fluffy ~ they seemed to be missing "baking powder". I would give the restaurant another visit.

Alas, we came to Pitt grill again to give it another chance. After 4 visits of horrible service we will not return. This is a hard thing to do because the food is so good. Their burgers and rings are amazing but waiting on a waitress to come help you is not worth it. I waited 15 minutes for a drink refill before I finally went and got it myself. There were 9 guest 3 waitresses at at least 2 cooks. Sad day Pitt grill, I guess this is why so many of your locations are closing.

Real burger patties and they taste great. Very good patty melt. Fries are just ok. Best home made onion rings in town. Fried catfish is best in town for the price. Breakfast is fantastic most of the time. Place is clean. Wait staff is very good.

The food was horrible, I ordered the bacon gouda burger it was cold, dry, had no taste, it was just plain nasty. We also ordered the blue cheese burger they didn't even come and tell us that they were out of blue cheese they just made a regular cheeseburger and sent it out. The onion rings were stuck together, nasty and greasy. Our food came out in parts we also ordered some breakfast dishes they brought out part of the breakfast first we had to wait on toast and pancakes by the time they brought out the toast and pancakes we were done with the meal. This place has the nastiest food and very poor service. I will never eat at this place again.

All you get are excuses when they cannot get a simple breakfast order correct. The last time it was sent back the owner took over and cooked it. Still not right! They did remove it from the bill but did not comp my coffee. The owner did not even come and apologize. I will not be back.

This is my first time ever ordering from this establishment and you couldn’t even get through on the phone. I was told when I got there and place my order that the phone was off the hook?! When I finally got my order I see the picture below I’m a patty melt everything was lukewarm. And the hamburger steak that my general manager ordered did not have any gravy whatsoever. It’s sad that you can’t even order food without them messing up your order. I’m really sad because I heard it was a great food.

We were visiting the area and decided to have breakfast/lunch. The first time we ate there the food was ok and the service was fine, the price even reasonable. We decided to return the next day after telling family members about the restaurant and the variety of food at a reasonable price. BIG MISTAKE! The wait was 45 minutes while the waitress waited for one gentleman to complete his meal so that our party could be seated. The waitress was unbelievably rude, no greeting, threw the menus on the table and grumbled the whole time. Let's just say the service went down hill from that moment on. Orders were served in partial, cold, unappetizing and the simplest drink request forgotten. Pancake and waffles tasted like the food from the grill. The Manager came to the table to observe the problems, and did not even speak just looked and turned away.We made it through the experience and as we were leaving it was over heard by the waitress that "she knew there would be no tip". Not true we left a tip but not a substantial one as we would normally do. The service was not good, the experience was not good, the food was not good, why would I tip for bad service? It is a gratuity for good service not any old kind of service. This place is lacking in the family atmosphere that they would like people to believe. If I could give a zero for my experience I would.

I have eaten here for years, every since they opened on Prien Lake Road. I have eaten at all times of the day. Breakfast, a favorite, has always been good as far as I can remember. Wife and I go there now. We love the eggs, ham, biscuits, grits, pancakes, french toast, and sausage. They have a decent little egg breakfast for $3.29. Drinks are good. Coffee is usually hot. Duh, sometimes you have to wait a few minutes if the place is busy. If it's old, they have always made a fresh pot for me. Gumbo and fried fish are ★★★★. Liver & onions, hamburger steak, pork chops, shrimp, country fried steak, they're all good. Haven't found anything not good. We will be coming back often. And I am not kin and I don't owe them any money.

Pitt Grill used to be a Lake Charles standard for decent diner food any time of the day or night. It's fallen off badly. For Example: The breakfast po-boy made with fresh crusty bread, scrambled eggs and smoked sausage was ruined by by the cook running it through the microwave just before serving. A good sandwich destroyed. The place needs a good cleaning as well. Breakfast used to be the strong point and the Pitt is NOT EVEN TRYING to compete with the several new restaurants offering breakfast. And it's sad, they were once very good.
If I could give zero stars, I would,. This is the second and the last time I will be visiting this Pit! Today we waited over an hour for our food, the waitress was complaining about only having one cook, no problem, however when we got our food after asking for it, the food was ice cold, pancakes, eggs, everything! As we were leaving after still having to pay for half of the food, I saw the cook using his hands to put food on the plates, there were at least 12 plates waiting to be delivered, so it wasn't just the cooks it was the waitresses not delivering the food and one was outside smoking as we were leaving! Horrible, horrible service, never again!! The last visit was just the same, long wait, no service!

Okay I just ate here the food was okay but I really couldn't enjoy it with mold all over the air vents above my table. It wasn't just the air vent above my table it was all the air vents on the ceiling. People can get sick from mold!

Great plate lunch deals for $8 on weekdays and senior (over 55) day is Tuesday w a plate lunch for $5.39 that includes a cup authentic chicken and sausage gumbo, meatball fricassee over rice or mashed potatoes, 2 veggies, and either a pecan brownie or lemon bar for dessert served in a diner atmosphere by waitresses. Tip is customary.

We are never going back to this Pitt grill ever again they messed up our order completely the burgers had nothing on them they did not even give me the gravy for my hamburger steak they forgot to give me the ranch for my salad then forgot to give the syrup for the pancakes they put onions on a burger that we said no onions on and they did not give my husband his hashbrown this place sucks they will not get our service anymore and it seems that every restaurant around lake Charles so far has sucked including this one so if I was you I would take your money elsewhere because we paid 40 bucks at this place and it was not worth it!!!!!!!!! And we spent a lot of money at this place, but no more
