Dive bar with good food

We went yesterday around 4 pm(Monday), we weren't greeted when we walked in, our server was clumsy, she made no recommendations, she took the drink order for the three adults in our group but not the child, after bringing our drinks sh then took the childs drink order. The other adults ordered an appetizer, I told her I wanted my appetizer as my meal so to send it out then, we got it all together. No time between appetizers and main mean. We were highly disappointed with the food. The artichoke crab dip was disgusting, it was like crab paste that they clearly heated up in the microwave in the Styrofoam cup in was served in and that had melted. The crab bites were burnt, my sons duck tacos were over cooked and the shrimp rubbery. Our server never checked on us or asked if we wanted refills. If I could give them 0 stars I would. Total waste of time and money.

The best place in town to have lunch and a beer. Also best place to go on a Saturday night. Absolutely love this place and the employees!!

I have never tried it.

I dropped by this local spot recently to grab a bite and see what all the talk was about. It definitely has a very laid-back, dive-bar kind of energy, which was fun for a casual afternoon, but it is not exactly a place you would go for a fancy sit-down dinner. I ended up trying a few of their fried appetizers, and while the food was decent enough to hit the spot, it was nothing that blew me away. The service was friendly and efficient, and it seems like a great place to hang out with friends and catch a game on TV. It is a solid, no-frills choice if you are in the area and just want a quick, easy meal with a cold drink, but I wouldn't call it a destination spot.

if yall are not gonna be open at 2:30am like it shows on the website CHANGE IT, cause why are we coming at 12:15am on a friday to eat some food just for them to have the doors locked and say they are closed!

It’s very “Louisiana” in here and very much so giving “Cheers” vibes. The hubs and I loved our first visit, and one of first few dinners in Lake Charles spent trying out this local gem. Upon looking at the mixed reviews, I admittedly had mixed feelings. But, the movers recommended that we stop by so that’s exactly what we did. We cozied up to the bar, met a few regulars, and had an amazing night of laughs and great food at Cajun’s Wharf. The plan was to check it out and go unnoticed, but that was not the case. It appears that you can’t go inside and not make friends here. Hence, the earlier Cheers reference. TK is a stone-faced sweetheart (but, shhh… I don’t think she wants anyone to know), took excellent care of us, and gave perfect recommendations.
Sidebar: We were so close to trying “backstrap” as noted and seconded by everyone in earshot, but they were out. Next time, for sure. (Because… when in Rome, you clearly eat backstrap! lol)

But, back to what we did try. The duck tenders, the eggs rolls (boudin version), the fried catfish and shrimp were all delish, seasoned well of course, and came out quickly.

The daily specials were also appealing, and we’ll definitely be back as I want to try a burger.

P.S.— I love that they have Crown Peach.

Food tasted great and beer was cold! The Zydeco was alive and well in there! Everybody was very kind and fun!

Came here looking for food at 10:50 pm on Thursday night because google said it was open til 1 am. They were closed.

Such a great atmosphere and staff. Been twice and seen Wayne Toupes and great DJ's the next time. Went for lunch and everything we had was amazing.
