Having tried authentic PR food. This is a gem to be so far away from home and have a restaurant like this in town to bring back those yummy flavors. Really good food and the service is great. Give it a try!

The food is fine. But the service is bad. The woman who served us seemed more interested in finishing the service, even though there weren't that many people in the room.
If you like good food you have to eat here

This was a great find for me and my wife. From the empanadas to the mofongo everything was delicious and made to order.
The portion size were exceptional for the price and left me and my wife stuffed.
Water 5/5 - Water was very clean and didnt have a chemical taste which is rare in restaurants my wife and I visit.
Empanadas 5/5- you get 2 for 5 dollars which is an awesome deal. The chicken one was my favorite. Very flavorful and filling.
Mofongo 5/5 - this was a new dish for my wife and me. It reminded me of a thicker stuffing that you would have for holiday. Very flavorful and filling, it was enough for us to eat and have some to take home.
If you haven't tried this place i would highly recommend it!

Love Brenda’s kitchen, authentic Puerto Rican food, the pernil is delicious and so tender, mofongo is well seasoned. Tostones are fried heaven. The empanadas pastries after so flaky and perfection. This will become a staple for our family. The waitress also made us feel like family, like long lost cousins.

I travel approx 300 days a year and I always look for Puerto Rico authentic food. Brenda’s restaurant near Fort Polk is truly authentic. The Service and cleanliness is excellent but the food was delicious. I love the Puerto Rico custom food. Rich in flavor and addictive when is authentic. Their music bringing you the good salsa and merengue that identifies the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico. No difference than any other state / country cuisine, this place is awesome and take advantage of their authentic food.

This place is awesome. Never would I expect to find Puerto Rican food in this part of the country. But, if you're traveling through these parts, you should definitely stop. The mofungo appetizer plate is something special. Everything we tried was really good and the service was beyond exceptional.
