I tried this place right after it opened and didn’t love it so unfortunately, I waited many years to try it again. Yesterday, I had a to-go order and I couldn’t believe how delicious it was. The shredded chicken empanadas were cooked to perfection. Even as to-go, it was perfectly fried. The shredded beef tamales… amazing. They are doubled in size compared to other tamales and so flavorful. The shredded beef taco, great!! The homemade tortillas didn’t hold up well with to-go orders but that’s not the restaurant’s fault. I truly was so impressed with everything I got. I will certainly be back, many times over! ❤️

My kids & I stopped for lunch and I KNOW we'll be back! The girl we ordered from was very nice and patient with our indecisiveness 😜. The food was absolutely delicious. I had the cuban sandwich, my 13 yr old had the taco-empa-taco meal, and my 11 yr old got the Cuban Bowl with pork. We also tried a tamale and two sweet empanadas ( guava and apple cinnamon). It was all so good, we plan on making our way through the menu to try it all.

We dined on Sunday after church. The food was delicious and portions were large. We had a party of six. Our waitress Lizette was fantastic, she was knowledgeable about the menu and kept our drinks filled and was very attentive to our requests.thanks so much

We went to the Lacombe Empataco with our church friends today. Lizette was our server. She was outstanding! Friendly, always smiling and constantly checking on us. Food was incredible! We had the taco salad with shrimp, and the Bandeja paisa. This place blows us away every time! Thank y’all for a great Father’s Day lunch!
Usually good but watch out for the fish tacos. They were the worst we ever had. Called to complain and ask for a credit but didn't get a response from the owner. Very disappointing.

Wonderful authentic Latin American food at a reasonable price! This spot was full of local regulars, so I feel lucky we found it while on the Tammany Trace Bike Trail. The Tamale Plate & Birria Tacos were both tasty! Both entrees paired well with the Abita Amber!
