Im an out of towner, and they welcomed me & treated me with the utmost kindness. The beers are fantastic. They brew beers for every pallette, light to dark, low abv to barrel aged. If you're in the area, it's a must stop. Thanks again.

Chafunkta’s large warehouse was in the middle of a renovation, but the open air taproom was rowdy with live music, board games and tons of dogs. Scoring high marks on Google Maps (4.9) and better than average on Untappd (3.78), we can understand the appeal. The best brew on the flight was their 3XPBC Beer Inoculum; an 8.2% Imperial Stout. 3XPBC was brewed to celebrate their Nine Year Anniversary! It’s description states the imp stout is a “triple peanut butter cup beer” and oh did it scratch the peanut butter cup itch. Probably one of the best peanut butter cup stouts we’ve had - ever.

This was a great place to stop for a break while biking Tammany Trace! You can't see it from the trail, but it's very close. Enjoyed the beers (particularly the meyer lemon one!) and relaxed set up. "Beer"-tender was great and really cool skateboard art throughout the place!

Good beer and nice local place. Only about 6 options but good variety. I had a mix of the hazy IPA and the blonde, a "Blanonymous" that was really good.

First time there. Tried the beer flights- discovered a few tasty brews! Great service, atmosphere, but bring lots of friends! The burger/ taco truck served yummy food too! It would be awesome if they showed 80s movies or have a movie nite each week!

Great beer and great people. Locally owned and often the owners are there. Always full of the friendliest people and sometimes mans best friend too. Offering various flavored infusions of their beer that you can only get there. The lineup changes weekly. The atmosphere is relaxed, but fun. Rockbot jukebox so you can play your favorite tunes. We always plan on going for only one and end up staying all night. Highly recommended.Update: years later, same. Beer is even better and food trucks rock!

ChaFUNkta Brewing-it’s in the native name-FUN! Dog/kid friendly! Just off the Tammany Trace (a wonderful rail-to-trail bike route), it’s an excellent place to bicycle to! Had the Old 504-a worthy vanilla porter.

We bicycle rode here while on the Tammany Trace Trail-worth the stop! The tastes were great, finally choosing the Old 504, their vanilla porter. Our beer-tender, Toni was good. Located in a industrial park, Chufunkta has a relaxed atmosphere with lots of seating, games, televisions. Friendly patrons told us a better way to get back to the bike trail (leave/enter near the bike culvert instead of taking the highway). We enjoyed our Chafunkta experience so much, we bought a tshirt & sticker to honor them!
