“It's an hour from me, but I visited because I kept hearing about their fantastic selection of craft beers. Absolutely true. I had a great West Coast IPA, and those are hard to find in the South. The lake views were wonderful, the staff was friendly, and the atmosphere was lively and warm. It's a big place, too, with lots of outdoor seating - two shaded patios, and beautiful landscaping to boot. Afterwards, I took a nice long walk along the Ponchartrain. I highly recommend!“

“A true neighborhood bar atmosphere. Very friendly staff and patrons. Bar is small which gives it a much friendlier vibe than a huge, long bar. Pool tables stay busy as does the jukebox, both saying positive things about Shannon’s. Food selection is limited, but it is a bar, not a restaurant. %@&*SMOKING IS ALLOWED. SO IF cigarettes offend you, I warned you. Cigarettes/alcohol store next door. Laundry, awesome nail salon, hair salon, even sewing machine repair…it’s all right here in the same little plaza. Easy in and out parking spots after a “fun” bar time, lol. All reasonably priced so I suggest you check it out!
