I usually get Cafe Au Lait or Hot Chocolate (in the Winter) from here. Today I got frozen Cafe Au Lait because I was hot, and it was great, as well. The beignets are excellent, as they were today. They have a drive-thru and good outdoor seating, too.
Restaurant is always clean! Service was awesome and super friendly staff. I guess I went at the perfect time on a Saturday morning because I didn't have to wait long at all. I'll definitely be back to this location because its close to home and much more convenient to get there.
The beignets are good, but it’s a totally different vibe and atmosphere from the original Cafe Du Monde in the French Quarter! This one is inside Lakeside Mall, in the food court, which is quite a different atmosphere than downtown at Jackson Square. If you are a tourist or visitor to New Orleans, I highly recommend going to the original Cafe Du Monde in the French Quarter. If you’re a local living near Metairie or Kenner, and just want some beignets and coffee, than most...
