For a hole-in-the wall chicken joint, I was surprised to find that the chicken is some of the best I've had. Always hot and fresh. The down side of that is that it takes a while to get served because the chicken is always cooked fresh to order. No problem, really. Just call in the order in advance and come eat it at the restaurant. It usually takes about 20 minutes. I do like me some spicy Popeye's, but for quality, you can't beat Chaps!

Have I been gatekeeping this place? Yes. Best wings in the city? Also, yes. A sad, but guilt-free admission: I've been going here consistently for a year now and it's been great every time. Wings are large, well-fried, and the sauces are incredible. I recommend to anyone who's a fan of wings.

Food was cooked to order. The fried chicken was great. The tenders were great. The wings were great, large and huge drumettes. The Macaroni and Cheese was good. the green beans were OK. Would definitely recommend and go back again.

Definitely a hidden gem! I got the fried chicken and of all things, creamed spinach. Both were incredible. Chicken was like it was friend in a black iron skillet, crispy and juicy. The chicken is not over battered and this allows the taste to explode! They have sauces for dipping. I especially liked the mango habanero and their take on teriyaki. I'll definitely be back for their wings. Thank you Yelp for suggesting this mouth watering delicacy. :o)

I dunno how the food is because I didn't receive it on my delivery then they had the audacity to call me after an hour when the delivery driver arrived there and proceeded to blame be for order things they didn't have in stock then tried to have me cancel the order and pay$18 fee to do so. This place is whack avoid this trash heap at all costs

The chicken was bland, mashed potatoes watery, Mac and cheese takes like it came from a box, French fries ice cold. My mom and I went here when it first opened for lunch and it was delicious. Went back tonight and it was the total opposite. I don't understand what the hype is about anymore cause they definitely don't taste the same.

So I ordered Chaps for the first time today. I got the 8 piece mixed with an order of Gravy Cheese Fries.i got the order fairly quickly which was good. The Gravy Fries was good. The chicken on the other hand, was just there. It was juicy, it was breaded well and crunchy, but it was just brand all around. It wa cooked like chicken should. Bit it definitely was not seasoned like chicken should be. Don't get me wrong, it was good chicken on average. But for the price, compared to other places, should have been much better. Was it a decent place? Yes. Would I go there again? Maybe to try the other sides and perhaps something else other than their chicken. Which would be the point of going there. So I am giving it 3 Stars because it wasn't bad, or good. It was just eh.

0 stars Avoid this place at all cost. Chicken is overrated and overpriced. The breast meat was tough and flavorless. The skin was very salty. Service was horrible, after telling the cashier my name she simply proceeded to clean and stock cups and wipe the countertop and provided no status of my order. Once my order was placed in the window from the kitchen it sat unnoticed by the cashier for 3mins as she leaned on the countertop and looked around aimlessly. I will not drive from the Westbank for that overpriced $17.83, 8 piece disappointment ever again. I will be sure to spread the word on the disgrace called Chaps.

Waited 40 minutes for a 2 piece with mac n cheese. After getting it, the chicken was so bland. No flavor whatsoever other than grease. Had to dump salt on it to make it edible. The lady at the counter was also extremely rude which didn’t help the experience at all. Never coming back.
