Daiwa Sushi Bar & Japanese Cuisine - Metairie

Daiwa is the best place for sushi, hands down. The fish is fresh, the flavors combined in the rolls is unlike anything else I’ve ever tasted. I’m always impressed every time I come. The service is exceptional. The atmosphere is inviting, clean, and suitable for both a romantic date or a nice dinner with friends/family. I can’t recommend this restaurant enough!

Terrible.

Daiwa Sushi really stood out for me as a place to get fresh, authentic sushi in the city. I tried the omakase set and liked the variety, especially the tuna that practically melted in my mouth and the creamy sea urchin. Even with the trailing note in the menu vibe, the overall experience felt memorable and worth coming back for.

Excellent. This is my third time here and each time it has been a good experience. The music is smooth , piano playing , just a really nice memory. Bring someone you love. .

Great sake selection

I really wanted to like this restaurant but I just didn’t. The place was nice and very clean BUT I didn’t care for the food at all. The vegetable tempura had lots of tempura breading but very little vegetable. I was also disappointed in the crunchy rolls they were small and bland. The dipping sauce tasted very watered down. Guess it’s back to Shogun for me.

The sushi is next-level. Every piece was fresh, perfectly prepared, and bursting with flavor.

My fiance and I have been coming to Daiwa since they opened, and have loved it everytime. They always prepare their food meticulously and with care. When we were concerned about an allergy, our hostess/waitress, An, made sure our food was prepared separately and reassured us! Super thankful for her and the rest of the staff here making Daiwa a staple for us and creating good memories 🥰

Kinda small ... didnt really get a good explanation about the menu when i asked + waitress was not attentive at all n im no snob or expect special treatment but she was pretty trash.. drink machine was not working right so she offered us some water that was sitting in a bottle that looked like 35 ppl touched it that day n it never got washed off ... kinda cheezy lil spot definitely wont b going back
