I’ve been to this location twice in the past month, first time my server was completely forgetful (dishes coming out before appetizers) when asking for either a refill or condiments for my meal, I had to watch them completely clear and clean nearby tables before they even made it to the back.. for example leaving my steak cold waiting on steak sauce. Food was immaculate.
Second time ( last night ) once again, food was immaculate, timing was better, but my server was so tied up with other tables across the restaurant, apologized over ten times for their lack to get to us, thankfully the manager stepped in for refills and sauces.. I wouldn’t say the restaurant was busy either. Just honestly felt like a cover up to not want to serve us.
I’ve been in the industry for over a decade, so I understand the ups and downs of being a server. But just doesn’t seem like an adequate excuse for a steakhouse where people are spending that kind of money on the food as well as the experience. I just suggest keeping servers in their sections, and not giving them more tables than they can handle. May or may not be back, possibly for take away.

Metairie Outback is my favorite spot. I rated them a 5 star 🌟 because they deserve it. This is still my favorite spots in the Metairie area but on November 20th, 2025 at about 810pm my curbside online orders was So exceptional I asked my husband to go back a give the lady a tip.

We waited and waited while people came and went and our food never arrived. When I said something to the waiter he was rude and said “I don’t know what to tell you, we’re busy”. The manager was nicer and his customer service was nice. Had our waiter been apologetic or communicative, I may have actually left a tip.

Dorothy gave us a nice experience yesterday for Veterans Day despite it being packed and super busy! She made things fun and helped us when needed. Food was good :)

Wait was longer than expected. With Veterans Day they were under staff & poor management . The server that brought our drinks spilled water beside the table and at least 6 workers walked over it and no one stopped to clean it up. I was worried someone was going to slip and fall. Kitchen staff was on top of cooking and sending out food. Food came out fast but drink refills took about 20 minutes. I asked waiter and manager for refills and was told its on its way. I had to go get my own to go boxes and corrections on the bill took a long time. Was very disappointed overall and next time Outback will not be my first choice.

Great food, great service! On a side note, once I got home I realized that the key fob to my car had fallen out of my purse at the restaurant. I live three and a half hours away, and they helped me navigate a UPS pickup and delivery back to me.
