Super friendly service with delicious dishes. This place does it right-not trying to reinvent any wheel! Top quality fish, Italian classics and meats. The beat lasagna I have ever had! Always fun & festive!

The food was great and the staff were very polite and helpful. Our waiter gave us great wine pairing recommendations and also gave us a recommendation for a great local place to get beignets the next morning. Just be aware the portions are HUGE! Bring your appetite or share with a friend! 😁

Our family wanted a place to dine after a long drive down to meet my daughter, and this fine Italian restaurant was within a block's walk of our hotel.

The parking lot was tiny. parking for about 5 cars, 5 more cares behind the building, and about 10 across a quiet street. The building and signage is beautiful, especially in twilight with the neon in beautiful gold and red.

It's apparent many people opt for reservations, but we simply walked up, and the wait was short, about 15 minutes. We were led upstairs, where two tables had been pulled together to accommodate our party of 7.

There's a wine menu and their main menu recommends good wines to go with every dish. The dishes are varied but all are authentic Italian. For the price (around $30/plate) I found a bit much water and juice in my lasagna, but it's authentic and tasted so. My wife thoroughly enjoyed her shrimp linguini. It had a restaurant signature name but I don't recall it. Here's a photo.

My sons opted for the spaghetti with meatballs. The meat appeared to be sausage and had some heat to it, enough that they commented on it. Everyone else thoroughly enjoyed their food.

We didn't have to wait long for our food. Gratuity was baked into the ticket. The cost for 7 was a little less than $300, which was not unexpected for the fine dining and atmosphere.

Came here for a long anticipated first date and this location couldn't have been a better place to pick. Highly recommend not only for the ambiance but also how tender the shrimp and chicken was and how friendly the service was

The food is excellent. A little pricey but you get very generous portions so it's a good value,

Ristorante Filippo was excellent. Our table of four ordered the drum special, chicken parmesan, veal picata, gamberi Galliano (shrimp pasta). All dishes were excellent. Our waiter (Aiden) provided excellent service, and management was very attentive. We will be back!

First Time Trying the place, The ambiance was nice, the server was on top of it and our food was prompt but spaced out accordingly. The food was really goos I got the Veal Marsala , and MY husband got the Veal Parm bith very good. Entrees range about 30$, drinks were priced like Flemings $16 martinis but were made with an off vodka called Tru. For the price it should be titos or goose. Overall it was good and we would go back. We had one app, one salad split, two entrees, and 4 drinks and our bill was $180 before tip.

Ristorante Filippo is fantastic. The staff is so welcoming and friendly. We are in Metairie about every three months. We tried the restaurant in May and had an excellent dining experience. This visit, our server, Micah, was great. He was knowledgeable of the menu items and attentive to our every need. We ordered the eggplant medallions with marinara appetizer and puppy drum almondine with seasonal vegetables entree. Everything exceeded our expectations. We will definitely go back in November when we are in Metairie.

Love their food; everything on the menu is delicious. Great New Orleans style Italian cuisine.
