Didn't like the flavors at all. Too sweet. Tried ice cream and it was yellow, coffee was watery, nectar, orange and raspberry too sweet. Chunky ice. Threw mine away and my daughter only wanted half. Husband always finishes even if he dislikes. Hansen's or Imperial Woodpecker so much better !

Greatly appreciated the owner of Sal's, & his son going out of their way to accommodate a special request I had. I've loved going here for the past 40 years! 💖

Delicious snowballs from a legendary place. Lovely location where you can sit on tree stumps and enjoy your treat. This place is a nonstop, busy place, but service is quick with many windows open to serve you.

Sal's is a family tradition. I love it! I wish they had more cream flavors like Dreamsicle (instant childhood flashbacks) but I'll never turn down a spearmint sno-ball from Sal's. It's like summer in a cup.

Parking: There's plenty of parking.

Kid-friendliness: It's a must-do for everyone under 99.

Wheelchair accessibility: Perfectly wheelchair accessible.

I don’t think they teach their employees how to actually make a sno cone. I could see the ice in the machine and I tried to tell the girls that the ice was too wet and soft and that it would produce wet ice and not the soft dry fluffy ice. They dismissed it. They didn’t layer the sno cone either with the juice and because the ice they used wasn’t good, when they poured the juice it’s cause the cone to collapse. I have a crunchy sno cone and
On top of the the flavor tasted old.

A snoball legend in Metairie and New Orleans. My favorite place to get snoballs and still old-school/cash only. Lots of outdoor seating available, too. A must try!

Solid choice for a snowball. After you get your snowball, pull up a stump and enjoy some before you get back in your car.

Slinging sno-balls since 1960! A stalwart in Metairie for amazing sno-balls and ice cream. Always a treat on a hot day. Seasonal service usually closes around October for the winter. A must stop!

Been coming here ever since I was a little girl. Especially after playing cabbage ball . Used to save up my money to walk here with my neighborhood friends when I was young. Still walk a few blocks down the street when I’m visiting family . It’s great that my daughter gets to come here too since she has been a little girl also . It’s fun to bump into old neighbors when I a visiting. Sals has the best snowball ice around . ? They don’t have snowballs like this in any other place in the country .

We went 3 days in a row. Top notch flavors and love that they also have soft serve for those who prefer it.
