“Stopped in for brunch before a show at the Saenger. We mainly chose here because of the convenience, but we’re so glad we did! Food was excellent and staff was very friendly. Our children enjoyed everything too! Mofongo was delicious and I appreciated the mocktail the bartender made for my daughter. 10/10 recommend.“

“Four of us ate there Friday night, a combination of tapas and a seafood paella to share. The owner also waits the tables, so be prepared to relax. The paella was exquisite, one of the best I've ever had. We shared a bottle of the house white, an albarino. The food was all delicious! The owner is so gracious and aims to please. Excellent value for the money.“

“We had the most amazing dining experience we've had in awhile. Our server Antonio was knowledgeable about the dishes on the menu and attentive without hovering. We ordered bread for an appetizer along with the T-bone pork chops and Scallops with grits as the main course. Dessert was the Almond cake with honey ice cream. Everything came out with absolute perfection. Our drinks were never empty. We left full and blown away by the whole experience at Plates. Highly recommend!“

“By far the best meal of our trip! We visited NOLA for our first time with too high of expectations as far as the culinary scene. We (early 30’s-40’s) stumbled on this spot after being disappointed by nighttime Bourbon St turning into a club scene and wanted some jazz, quieter crowd, authentic experience. After some jazz up the street, we spotted this empty table up on Tapas e Vino’s balcony. We showed up towards closing and they were super generous on still seating and serving. We’re wine collectors/snobs and enjoyed all our glasses, but man the food was insane. Lamb Lollipops, duck fat fries and baked goat cheese were out of this world and cannot be missed. We had some other dishes like ceviche and manchego cheese flambe that were good too. Watching the crowd or occasional parade from the balcony was super cool. Just an overall amazing experience. Thank you guys for being one of the highlights of our trip!“

“Hi everyone, my post might be a little different in that it's not even about the food. This review is about the gratitude that I have for this place. I can't express enough gratitude to Costera Restaurant for turning our Christmas around in the most wonderful way. when my wife lost her precious chain and pendant during our visit. it felt like our holiday spirit was fading fast, however the staff at Costera went above and beyond to help us. Not only did they assist us in searching for the lost item, but they showed genuine kindness and concern for our situation. Their efforts led to the recovery of our chain and pendant, and in that moment, they truly became our holiday heroes. The atmosphere in the restaurant is warm and inviting, and the food is simply delightful, which only adds to the reason we will always cherish the memory of our time spent there. Thank you Costera, not just for providing a fine dining experience but for having incredible compassion and support when we needed it most. You have won us over and we will continue to dine in this great establishment and recommend everyone we know. Thank you!!“

“Holiday Family Gathering
What an experience. Sydney was a true gem in hosting my cousins for our annual holiday gathering! We had amazing service, the food was incredible and such a great space to meet.we wouldn’t have enjoyed being here nearly as much without having Sydney here to make the best cocktails ever and have the best service presence. Oak & Ale is lucky to have someone like Sydney to represent private parties and bartend. I hope they give her a wonderful Christmas bonus for the service she provides to their customers. Thanks, Sydney for hosting us!“

“We did the Drink Lab cocktail making class upstairs first and it was AMAZING and worth the money! The history and education that are included with the class are A1. We had such a great time during the class that we spent the rest of the evening downstairs at Baroness of Baronne. All of the food, drinks, shots (gas mask shot) were great! GO!“

“We went visit Central Grocery in downtown and found out that they was closed. Someone informed us that we could pick up a muffaletta at the airport for Central Grocery. We made sure that we stop by before leaving to come back to Dallas Texas. The only thing is they don't sell the muffaletta whole. We had to purchase three quarters with a salad.“

“We originally came for a drag brunch, be we misread it was to be on Sunday instead of Saturday. However, Winter made the start of our day! We were here for a bachelorette party, and she was a freaking joy! We were not mad at all we stumbled upon here. Make this place a mandatory stop when you come to NOLA!“

“Had lunch with a friend on March 24th. They ordered the red beans and I ordered the shrimp po' boy with a cup of chicken and sausage gumbo. Two spoonfuls into the beans, my friend found a hair in her food. We reported it to the server who told the bar manager. He came over, apologized and took the dish away. My friend didn't order another dish. I finished my sandwich and as I got toward the bottom of my cup of gumbo, I found a hair in my food. Told the server, who appeared to tell the bar manager. After about a 5 minute wait, the kitchen manager came out. Showed him the hair in my food. He insisted no one in the kitchen had long hair. After a brief conversation, he left. The server came back with a bill for the soda I ordered. No apology from management. They did remove both meals, after insinuating we may be at fault. No contrition, no offer of a future discounted meal for the inconvenience. Nothing to earn my future business. Nothing to make a positive spin for this review. Next time I'm visiting, I know where I won't eat.“
