I purchased a king cake at Tastee on S. Clearview and West Metairie. The cake was stale and had very little icing so the sugar granules fell off leaving a plain cake. I have bought Tastee king cakes for years, but not anymore. They are not worth it. You can get bigger and better cakes elsewhere. Sorry the end of an era.
