Love the chicken fried rice. Won't ever order sushi from here again. Last time it tasted like bleach and I had to bring it back! Not sure if maybe the surface they made the sushi roll on was cleaned then prepared. Never again! I was given a refund.

We love this place!! We go here all the time and our waitress Kate is always amazing. She remembers our order every time we come in, and even the accommodations we make to our order. She’s delightful and always a joy! I recommend her as a waitress.

By 7:00, we were served water, and by 7:15 we asked how much longer things would be. The woman pointed to two new tables of guests behind us and said that the chef had to prepare their order first. We politely declined and left.
To add, the smell of the bathrooms is so intense that the entire left side of the restaurant smells of sewerage.

I was recommended by a good friend and I don’t regret it. My favorite Hibachi restaurant is in the city and I truly didn’t tell like driving. This place is now my second favorite restaurant! Friendly staff very informative and she remembered that I love yum yum sauce from the first question I asked her. I’m very excited that I have found a new restaurant!

This place was recommended to me and it didn’t hold up to my expectations. I asked if they had a specific roll and the waitress rudely said “yeah! It’s right there on the menu” stated I didn’t want any raw fish rolls and one of the 4 rolls we ordered was raw salmon and tuna. Being from the pnw I don’t care for Atlantic salmon. All my other rolls were 50% cucumber.

Best sushi. Great service at the sushi bar. Of course the female service always to be in such a rush and it's difficult to get a refill on drinks but the food makes it all worthwhile. After visiting several other Sushi local places that recently opened up in Metairie I really appreciate it going back to Uchi sushi. I suggest you ask them to cut the rolls in more pieces as they are huge! Great place to bring the kids. Mine have grown up going there
