Not sure where this restaurant gets its higher rating from, I do a lot of traveling I am from Southeast Texas and I love food, but this was a horrible plate of food, I got the lunch special hamburger steak, mashed potatoes, purple hull peas and hot water cornbread. Served on the cheapest Styrofoam plate you could buy, The hamburger steak was in the shape of an egg and tasted horrible, The gravy should have been poured out the back door, instant mashed potatoes The only thing I found worth eating was the purple hall peas, thought maybe I could salvage the hot water cornbread by dunking it in the peas but that turned out to be lost hope real quick. Save your money and go get McDonald's you'll be glad you did. Cuz this is not soul food This is not home cooking hell this is barely food.

For the first time to eat after having surgery on my throat to remove one of my tonsil and had my gums fixed. I'm so glad they were having beef tips and gravy. That was so good. I ate off of the plate for 2 days. Thank you so much Lady's for the wonderful food.

Food was pretty good, for whatever reason I had to wait an extra 10 min for my food when the other 3 people I was with got theirs in a matter of a couple of minutes.But otherwise decent (average) pricing, and tasty food.
