This is definitely a Collegetown restaurant so if you’re looking for a quiet dining, I would not recommend going on the weekends. This is a great place to take Family or celebratory trips, especially with their great food.
Jay Pappa's is a hidden gem! My family and I celebrated my son's college graduation there during lunchtime. There atmosphere was peaceful, neat, clean and had plenty of character with great pictures of Jay Pappa's hanging on the walls, wine racks filled with wine bottles also hanging on the wall great idea! The menu has a good variety that allows you options of food to choose from including some a la carte items. The prices are reasonable and affordable. I cannot...
Several people that I was with had the crab and shrimp topped red fish. All said it was dry but flavorful. It was minimal crab and 3 shrimp on top. The spinach was lukewarm but good. The spinach dip was mid and the crab cakes were not good. The oysters Rockefeller and the Parmesan were ok. The best items were the fried grits and mixed veggies. The green beans came out of a can.
