Stopped in on our road trip and the food was delicious! Fried shrimp were huge, well seasoned and cooked perfectly! Food did take awhile so I would order ahead if you can. We got there at the end of dinner rush and the staff was very friendly chatting with us after they caught up with all of the orders.

Dining room was filthy. Tablecloth was dirty and faded. Looked like mildew growing on the hot sauce bottles. Size of oysters were small compared to what they used to be and mostly consisted of heavy hard batter

Ms. Lala was an awesome character to chat with while waiting for my food. I ordered the grilled shrimp with fried okra and mashed potatoes with gravy! I would 10/10 come here again. Do not let the building discourage you from eating here! Sams is a hidden gem from the service food and all!

Ms. Lala made sure we had a wonderful experience. Looks are deceiving but this little place impressed! Some of the best fried fish we've ever eaten and the fried shrimp po'boy was fantastic. Mother in law had the grilled shrimp and would recommend those for sure!

Stopped off at this place during my roadtrip to Texas. I was hoping to come in and get some quick seafood then get back on the road. This is far from what happened. When I came in, there was nobody in the lobby. I was still deciding when a couple came in and knew what they wanted, so I let them go first. After they ordered, my wife and I ordered. We ordered a Fried Chicken Poboy, and a 3 fish, 3 shrimp plate, with fried okra, dirty rice, and mac n cheese. After nearly 40 minutes, we finally got our food. Come to find out, apparently there was a big order being filled. There was no heads up or notice about such a large order ahead of ours, or we probably wouldn’t have stayed. I understand big orders can be demanding, but either provide a heads up to your current customers, or set aside some dedicated people to make the walk in orders, too. The chicken, fish, and shrimp were all wonderful, the Sam’s sauce was good too. The dirty rice, mac n cheese, and hush puppies left MUCH to be desired. The hush puppies tasted stale, the mac n cheese was lacking in flavor, and the dirty rice felt very accurate in name; not much in the way of flavor. Probably won’t be coming back. Also, there was some sort of murder NCIS type tv show playing super loudly on the tv?? Probably not the best choice for people trying to eat. Set us back about $40 with tip, so not even really a particularly cheap disappointment.
