This has to be the most gringo Mexican restaurant I ever ate at. The staff is amazing and friendly. The kitchen is fast and there is plenty of room to eat. Now for the food. My steak was unseasoned. For Louisiana, this is good Mexican food. If you are form South Texas, well...you just aren't home and don't expect the food to be like you are at home. The building was clean, the staff was friendly, the atmosphere was great.

I read the reviews before going to Nicky’s. I went on a Tuesday evening and the place was pretty busy. That’s always a good sign in a small town. The food was some of the best Tex-Mex I’ve ever had! I lived in Houston for a year and I would rank Nicky’s food right up there with true Tex-Mex. I ordered the beef chalupas and it was delicious. You won’t be disappointed!
