So so good, worth the money....

I decided to try this restaurant for the first time based on the positive reviews, but unfortunately, it did not meet expectations. The food quality was disappointing, and I felt the portion sizes did not justify the price. Overall, it was one of the less favorable dining experiences I have had in New Iberia. The only positive aspect of my visit was the prompt and efficient service, which is why I am giving this restaurant two stars. Based on my experience, I do not plan to return.

I went there Friday Night June 5th, ordered my usual. LG Fried Shrimp Dinner. This is how Pathetic these people are, From the owner, to the Waitress. Waited long time for food, it comes with 20 fried shrimp. Finally got my food, FRENCH FRIES COLD AS USUAL, I start eating ( HAVE ONLY 14 SHRIMP ON MY PLATE ) I CALL OVER MY WAITRESS and tell her about it, so I'm short 6 shrimp. So I mentioned to her, Don't worry about it. Because I was almost finished eating, just to charge me for the small order of fried shrimp. Which comes with 12 fried shrimp, she said okay. Then a little later, she comes back. She apologized, she said she adjusted my ticket for the small shrimp dinner. ( NO REALIZE AS I SAID THAT DINNER COMES WITH 12 SHRIMP !!!!!!!! AFTER THEM MAKING THE MISTAKE LIKE THEY CANNOT COUNT IN THE KITCHEN MY ORIGINAL ORDER WAS SUPPOSED TO HAVE 20 FRIED SHRIMP AND THEN I ONLY GET 14 FRIED SHRIMP. BUT THAT'S NOT REALLY THE PROBLEM, SO GETTING BACK TO THE SMALL ORDER OF FRIED SHRIMP THAT COMES WITH 12, NOT ONLY DID THEY MESS UP ON MY ORDER, THIS IS HOW PATHETIC THEY DEAL WITH A PROBLEM THAT THEY MADE. SO THOSE TWO EXTRA SHRIMP, SHE TOLD ME THEY WERE GOING TO HAVE TO CHARGE ME FOR THAT. BECAUSE THE ORDER ONLY CAME WITH 12 FRIED SHRIMP, PLEASE READ WELL THEY SHORTED MY ORIGINAL ORDER OF 6 SHRIMP !!!!
SO ONCE CONFIRMED I WOULD BE OKAY WITH THE SMALL SHRIMP DINNER WITH 12 SHRIMP, THEY HAD NERVE TO CHARGE ME FOR THOSE 2 EXTRA SHRIMP, BECAUSE MY ORIGINAL ORDER OF THE LARGE DINNER WITH 20 SHRIMP AND MY PLATE ONLY HAD 14, WHAT KIND OF BUSINESS WOULD ACTUALLY DO THAT TO A CUSTOMER. THIS IS DEFINITELY FOCUSING ON BEING MONEY HUNGRY. They are the ones that make the mistake, on my initial order. That is a huge difference, what kind of cook you have working in your restaurant that cannot count to 20, and you going to put 14 fried shrimp on my plate. Then what I don't mind just telling them to charge me for the small fried shrimp dinner that comes with 12 shrimp, they have the audacity to charge me for the 2 other shrimp. That blew my mind, How do you treat a customer like that, they are the ones that messed up my order. But yet Most restaurants would have made the customer not even end up paying for their meal to begin with making a mistake like that. But not them, well the least to say that will be my last time ever going eat over there. But there's been other things in the past so I would recommend to anyone How could you go eat at a place and this is how you treat your customers. The owner definitely don't know anything about customer service, I highly recommend anyone that goes he's there. They don't mind taking your money, but I bet any customer that ends up having some kind of issue. You will be surprised because this is exactly how they would treat someone, This is a very pathetic example of a restaurant So that is how you perceive with an apology to a customer. Very ridiculous, pathetic, an uncalled for !!!!!!??????????

COME HERE FOR THE BEST LOCAL FOOD. I had the best Gumbo of my life. It is a family owned restaurant and you can really see the love they put in cooking the dishes. Very good prices as well. I stopped to talk with the owner and it was a pleasure to hear the passion they have for cooking their food.

Worst boiled crawfish I ever ate.

Boiled Crawfish were good, potatoes and corn also good. Service was quick. Nothing fancy here , everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves. Would like more beer on tap , was looking for Abita Amber Lager.

Used to be one of my favorite spots more for sentimental reasons than anything, but the food was good. As I've gotten more experience, I've realized that their crawfish (what I usually make the trip for) is mediocre. Not bad per se and I saw lots of good looking other seafood plates coming out mostly fried platters. What irked me this most recent visit is the total inattentiveness of our wait person. I would have definitely ordered another portion of crawfish and at least a couple more beers but they were neck deep in their cell phones along with management without the slightest concern about what was going on. I'm pretty sure they could have been robbed or had a fire and nobody at the front of house would have noticed. Expectations are set by management and so I don't entirely fault the staff by following the model set by management.

I deliver hear and the owner is quite nice. Its the best wholesome experience you could have locally and definitely won't disappoint on taste. I recommend it

Not bad for the first crawfish of the season! I highly recommend the softshell crab as an appetizer. So, so good! This is our go to for fried and boiled seafood. The building is a bit worn though.
