Seafood Connection of New Iberia

Service was terrible. Took over 10 mins just to be asked about drinks.. then the food took atleast 20 to 30 mins to recieve and it wasn't even hot. Bread was hard and old. Boiled shrimp was cold and overcooked. Frog legs overcooked fried shrimp was cold. Just terrible experience and food was terrible. We won't be going back.

If it were just for the service my rating would be a 5! Our server was attentive in that she doubled back twice after we had our food to see if we need anything.

Now the food:

*1/2 Dozen Crabs. My dining partner made no complaints. The crabs looked to be seasoned and full of crab meat.

*20 Piece Shrimp meal. The shrimp were a nice size and served hot, but I didn’t taste any seasoning. The fries were ok, but of a warm temperature.

*To go Seafood Platter. The fish was seasoned well. As for the other items, there was no complaint from my hubby. The only complaint is the salad dressing was missing from the order and the stuffed crab was dry.

*Atmosphere. It was ok, but the paper towels on the table had ketchup on the top from others holding it to tear off a piece. That’s kind of gross. We were there when it opened so I’m sure the stains were from a previous day.

*Prices. The prices are adorable. You will get your money’s worth.

This was my first time ordering from there and it won’t be my last. The next time I’ll get the boiled crab.

Always out go to place with all the family. We have been going there since Mrs. Laura opened it, miss her, and will continue to go no matter what. Great food, awesome company, (you get to see all the towns people there) and community support for Mr. LeBlanc.

The restaurant was closer a week because of the 4th of July - very disappointing.

Went here with husband to meet his sisters friend from college. We meet Julia, Sarah and Phil...I had fish nuggets, hubby had boiled shrimp. Both were good. Had 1 beer it was good and cold.Nice time with them!!

Me and the family decided to come here to eat some crawfish. I felt that this visit came up too short. I'm not sure if it was just bad timing this visit or what the deal was because previous reviews were 5 stars.GOOD: Let's start with the good. The food for all of us was good. My fiancé and my step-daughter both had 2 lbs of crawfish, which they said tasted great. I personally had the crawfish etoufee, which I thought tasted great. The atmosphere was average, but still not terrible. The pricing wasn't too bad either for the cost of everything considered.BAD: Service was TERRIBLE. Waitress kept playing around, not being attentative. None of the others offered to make sure we were taken care of. The building's parking lot is always so full and clustered terribly. The selection on the menu is small, and the overall condition of the building seems like it's getting worse.OVERALL: I wanted to give this place a higher score because they've never let us down in the past. We may return at a later date, but please do better. This place has potential.

We tasted almost all the specialties. It was very good and inexpensive. The owner was kind enough to come and greet us because he speaks French, the waitress was very friendly.

Recommended by a local - Family atmosphere and man was the food amazing & affordable. These folks know how to cook-You can’t go wrong eating here!!!
