The oxtails are so full flavor their tender my side were the rice and peas, cabbage and plantains I forgot to mention the corn bread muffins. When I'm in New Orleans this is a spot I always have to visit.

Now that they have their own location on Oak street, some people have flocked over there. However, 14 Parish in Pythian remains to be a delicious Jamaican restaurant centered in the CBD. When we go here, I tend to always get the Oxtail plate w/ some rice & collard greens! So that's exactly what is posted!@phidingthefam

I got the J*** Chicken here and it was some of the most delicious I’ve ever tasted. Portions are quite large so you won’t leave hungry. Plantains we’re also quite delicious along with friendly staff. Looking forward to coming back!

This was our favorite find at the food hall. She told us the chicken special was spicy and it sure was (in a good way). The sides we choose were excellent. We choose the mac and cheese, peas and rice dish (really beans) and cabbage. One unexpected treat was the house made juices sold in the cooler. They were so good that we came back and bought a few more for the hotel room. Not cheap but worth it, i think about 4 dollars. Very happy to find this place and also offered a lighter type of food then our usual tourist meals filled with southern food. This whole food hall is great and happy to find when traveling with a group of people with different food tastes and needs. Also forgot to mention lady behind counter was very helpful and a pleasure to meet.

This is an amazing eatery with some delicious cuisine. Can’t go wrong with their j*** chicken, plantains and soursop juice. You have not lived until you’ve had their soursop juice

We came tonight (11/1) for dinner & were not disappointed! We got J*** Chicken, Mac & Cheese, Plantains, and the Peas and Rice and it was all absolutely DELICIOUS! The woman behind the counter was delightful and the whole experience was excellent! We will be back soon!

Best Jamaican food ever ! The staff are amazing and the sweetest. I’ve tried everything here and haven’t found anything I didn’t like. 10/10 highly recommend !

This is the 2nd worst service I've ever had at a restaurant and it's so disappointing because the food was so good. It took 15 minutes from sitting down to having water brought to us. We ordered wine (a full bottle) that wasn't brought to us until 45 min later (after we were all finished with our meal basically). When they finally brought the bottle, it was still corked. It took another 10 minutes for them to open it. And another 10 minutes to get glasses - we ended up dumping our water glasses out so we could have the wine so we could leave. This would be semi-understandable if the place was packed but there was only 3 other tables and they were already done eating so didn't need much attention - there was also 3 people managing the floor so we were completely confused on what was happening. The only reason this is a 2 star rating instead of 1 star is because the food was AMAZING. But, I will not be going back. The service was that bad. I hope it was a fluke.

The oxtails were amazing, but the sides were not so much! The cashier lady was EXTREMELY rude and provided zero customer service. Just an ugly spirit; nevertheless I stayed positive and even prayed for her while there. We were visiting and looking forward to a warm Jamaican experience-like back home, but she made me not ever want to touch foot at this location again. She will be the reason this location doesn't succeed and people take business elsewhere.

I ordered a j*** chicken plate with rice and peas and Mac & cheese. The rice and peas are so bland but the Mac & cheese were seasoned so well. I just hate that my chicken was disgustingly raw and pink inside. Try at your own will but don't risk your health going here. I would not recommend . I didn't even eat any of the chicken because this is the exact reason I look inside before I eat.

My family and I came here today for lunch and this was an awful experience. The lady who prepared our food was rude to say the least. The food was not good at all and it's extra for more j*** sauce as they only give you 1 small container for that portion size. We couldn't even enjoy just sitting there eating becausewe were being watched like hawks... Never again will we dine here. I should've followed my first mind and went to the Jamaican spot on St.Claude Ave.

5 stars for the food only - the service isn't friendly, but the food never misses. I got the salmon with macaroni and rice and peas. It's always seasoned and cooked perfectly. It's located inside the Pythian Market food hall on Loyola so there's a few other places in there as well to have a seat, grab a drink or dessert.
