Lux was just around the corner from our hotel, so we pitched up one morning for breakfast. It looks more like a nice cafeteria and I wondered about the quality of the food that would come out, but we were there and there was coffee. 'Nuff said. Great place for breakfast. My friend enjoyed two omelettes on different days served with potatoes. I ordered off the menu - two scrambled eggs with toast. No problem. Service is quick, cooked to order. The proprietor is delightful. Remembered us from one day to the next. Their website, however, needs to updated. The Monday lunch special, red beans and rice, is only with sausage, no chicken.

Delicious coffee. Friendly, efficient service. We worked our way through the breakfast menu. Loved it all. I especially liked the French toast with fresh banana. We stayed next door at the Moxy and it became our habit to have breakfast at the Lux Cafe.
