We have eaten here every day of our visit. Every breakfast has been fantastic, and I love well-prepared food. It should be listed as one of the Top 10 breakfast cafes in town!!

Delicious coffee. Friendly, efficient service. We worked our way through the breakfast menu. Loved it all. I especially liked the French toast with fresh banana. We stayed next door at the Moxy and it became our habit to have breakfast at the Lux Cafe.

I came here for brunch last Sunday and got the crawfish pasta and the fresh squeezed orange juice. The juice was yummy but it was lukewarm so I didn't finish it - I'm sure that's because it was really fresh but I do need my juice chilled. The crawfish was fresh and cooked perfectly. Lots of crawfish in the pasta too, the linguine noodles were perfectly al dente. But the issue was that it was so so so bland. I had to put like a gallon of Crystals to get it to taste just okay. I may go back when staying in the area and try maybe the more breakfast items.

Lux was just around the corner from our hotel, so we pitched up one morning for breakfast. It looks more like a nice cafeteria and I wondered about the quality of the food that would come out, but we were there and there was coffee. 'Nuff said. I ordered the avocado toast that came with 2 eggs. As you can see from the photo it looked delicious - and it was. I had given most of my potatoes to my hubby before I took the photo, so be assured you get way more than that - and they are to die for. Crunchy on the outside and soft in the middle. I did not leave hungry.

Great food, the fresh squeezed orange juice is absolute wonderful. It is a must try and definitely worthy of repeat visits.

Everything was over salted. Just like so salty, it hurt our stomachs and we couldn’t finish them. We got three different items and all were too salty. If you do eat here, I recommend getting something on the sweet side of the menu! We had the crabcake benedict (the least salty), the seafood omelette and the crawfish biscuit.

The quality of the food left much to be desired; it was barely edible. Additionally, after being seated for 30 minutes, it was quite disappointing to find that my coffee order had been forgotten. This oversight, combined with the overall experience, leads me to advise against visiting this restaurant, as it seems to be a waste of both time and money.

Great place for breakfast. My friend enjoyed two omelettes on different days served with potatoes. I ordered off the menu - two scrambled eggs with toast. No problem. Service is quick, cooked to order. The proprietor is delightful. Remembered us from one day to the next. Their website, however, needs to updated. The Monday lunch special, red beans and rice, is only with sausage, no chicken.
