Tried the chargrilled oysters and thought they were just ok. Crab cake had a very thick crust and was too dense. The deep fried soft shelled crab lacked flavor. Surprisingly the butter bean plate with catfish was very good, and it saved the day!
Went 2 nights in a row. I dont even like bread pudding, but glad I mad an exception cause it was great. Gator bites are a must try. Crab cakes are good. Their Char grilled oysters are top notch. Server were polite and food came out quick. Was worth waiting in line. I will go back when I'm in the Nola again.
The chargrilled oysters are so good. They alone make Acme worth worth a visit. We also ordered a fried fish po boy, jambalaya, etouffe, and the crab cake with maque choux. The etouffe wasn't my favorite and the crab cake was very bready, but everything else was delicious. Overall it's a great spot to get a variety of New Orleans classics.
