I purchased a pecan praline cake that was stale. My daughter picked it up. It was for an event which caused me to be embarrassed and disappointed. Contacted the female owner who apologized but trying to justify the cake should not have been stale. Offered no compensation for my experience and never got a call back from the other owner who does the baking. She apologized and said she will speak to the other owner who may have over baked the cake. Still have not received a call back. I was a frequent customer but after experiencing this I will be a former customer. Very disappointed on their customer satisfaction morals.

Ordered a German chocolate cake for my husband’s birthday. German chocolate is his favorite cake and we really we’re looking forward to this cake. I ordered it on a Monday which the girl I spoke with told me it had to be ordered two days in advance. I paid for it over the phone and told them I’d like to pick it up on Wednesday at 4:30pm(two days later). They called me Wednesday the day I’m supposed to pick up my cake and might I add it was four hours before I’m supposed to pick it up and proceeded to tell me that they don’t have the icing for the cake and the icing won’t be in until Friday! This is very disappointing and frustrating. I will never deal with this bakery again, this was my first and last time!!!

This new cheese danish filling is not good at all. Your danishes used to taste like McKenzie’s but now they taste like something I purchased prepackaged from the grocery store. Are you now using some type of preservative or something? The last time I visited a few months ago, the cheese was molded. Whatever you’re putting in the cheese filling now is just…not good. Also, the dough itself appears to be different. It used to have more of a real Danish dough texture but now it’s like a cinnamon roll. Overall, it now tastes like something I could have bought from the snack aisle at Rouses and not a “real” bakery. I have been trying to support your business by giving you multiple chances to improve but I can no longer.
