This very casual but absolutely delicious restaurant was exactly what we were looking for. On the outskirts of the tourist trap area of New Orleans, the drinks were fabulous! The dishes were very unique and creative, unlike any other South American cuisine we have had. Gluten-free and dairy-free options. We needed both and were very happy!!❤️
This restaurant was not open for dinner on the night of our reservation. When I messaged them to inquire about it, they said "we don't do dinner on Tuesdays." Then why are they taking reservations?
Love the food, service is always mixed and it's usually loud at night. Was really surprised that they added our gratuity to our bill for our table of four
Service was mid, unsure who waiter was, took half a drink order and walked away, didn't check up on us, food was great.
Don't let the strip mall location fool you-this is top notch food! The lemon ricotta pancakes were practically dessert. Friendly service and amazing food
Great cocktails to start. Sambos app was delish app. My wife had Pollo en crema con Loroco and I had Puerco en Recodado Rojo. Both were outstanding and quite authentic. They could tone down the lights above the bar about. Highly recommended. We'll be back.
I’m so glad you’re here. I was missing my Hemmingway daiquiri and you! I can’t wait to come back and feast. I love your new location.

I went for brunch with my grandmother amd thoroughly enjoyed it! Our server, Anielle, was helpful and sweet, and she made us feel very comfortable. Perfect coffee menu, fresh orange juice, and hearty food (good portions) with great flavors solidified our decision to DEFINITELY come back! The house made hot sauces are excellent, and you can tell that the head chef knows what's up. The food was skillfully prepared and the presentation of the plates and the rest of the layout were just right. I hope this place does well in midcity, we need more establishments like Alma's!

Personally, for the price point, it isn't worth it. The menu is very small, and no sides come with the meals. My partner ordered the chicken and got one small piece with his plantains for $18. The sangria was not good and was basically just red wine with fruit on top, not soaked and lacking flavor. I tasted more brandy than anything. My empanadas were good but still not worth the price point. The service was good, but if you're looking for actual Honduran flavor, I would reccomend somewhere else.

This place is overrated and overpriced. The flavors don’t wow me and have a better culinary experience at Tia Maria’s. You are definitely paying for them to be on the Carrollton Beinville block and that’s it honestly. There are many other Honduran restaurants in the area where HONDURANS actually frequent; I can’t say this would be one of them. Between Canal St, Banks and Tulane, would will find better cuisine at a fraction of this price.

Love this restaurant serving up some great Honduran food. Service was friendly, attentive and helpful. The waitstaff was encouraging of adventure and we tried many new flavors! Coffee-A+! All the food items were flavorful and well-made. We had reservations and enjoyed a great brunch-looking forward to trying it first dinner.
Had an incredible brunch with some amazing gentleman today.
Such a great spot in the heart of Mid-City New Orleans.
Will definitely be back.
Thanks Alma.

We ate brunch at their other location so we wanted to try dinner here. The food was great, the server was awesome and the prices are good. We ordered the Chicharron and Mozzarella Pupusas to start. They were so good with the slaw on top. Then we ordered the Deep South chicken sandwich, the Bistec Encebollado and the Enchilada Hondurenas. We all shared the food and everyone loved everything we ordered. We will definitely be back.

Excellent brunch! Loved the Pastelitos de carne, breakfast tacos, and iced brown sugar shaken espresso.
