Considering how they treat their employees and the fact the feds are going after her for lying about employee benefits. She pocketed 300k while employees have had their tips disappear. No longer would ever go.
Amazing food. Super great staff. Had my bday dinner there the other night. Food is freaking good. There are a lot of good restaurants in town, but the food here just tastes and feels better. Not sure how to describe it, just healthier. And really good.

Great lunch today at Alma. Today’s special was fried soft-shell crab, over purple corn grits. Crab was perfect, seasoning and dish was spot on. Shrimp fra diavolo was spectacular - what a preparation, amazingly tasteful. Our server, Cynthia, spectacular. Can’t wait to come back!

☝️Be prepared for the rips here and there!
I know, in NOLA we are used to paying Entergy birds and squirrels fees, but Entergy has no competitors, unlike Alma.
So, in order. The food is delicious and I would go for breakfast in this place every day.
Coffee is very good.
The design is very light and clean and sitting by the window is just a pleasure...
But the greed of the owners killed me as a client already at the time of the second visit.
When I ordered salmon lox something something for $ 23, I expected at least a full-fledged dish, and not a basic sandwich with goat cheese and three pieces of lox from above.
Yes, it was exactly basic piece of bread, cheese and lox for $23. No veggies, greens, nothing.
In Walmart, for $23, you can buy literally half of a whole salmon. So, you know.
If you decide to turn an ordinary dish into a vegetarian, as you are offered on the menu, then be prepared to pay for each change as add ons.
Like original price of the dish + changes.
One day my dish magically grew from $20 something to almost $30.
Drinks refills? No way! You already breathing their air for free!
And in the end... your check will come with:
a performance fee (probably it is kind of a thanks to them that they came to work),
a credit card processing fee (no matter if you go with cash, I tried one day to pay with cash 😂),
a tips to a waiter (20% mandatory, why they should pay their workers when you can)
and who knows maybe they come up with something else this morning 🤔
If I go to eat outside, I'm looking for a place where I will feel at my grandma's home where they love me, but not look at me as a piggy bank.

They really need to be able to sub out corn and flour tortillas at no additional cost (some people hate corn tortillas). Aside from that, brunch was amazing! The items were a bit pricey, but the quality of the food was on par.

Dinner prices 2x what is reasonable; atmosphere is fast casual with Michelin-aspiring cost. If it was amazing food, maybe that's ok. But I watched my burger sit on the service station for 10 minutes and the fries came out cold/old - and it's twice the price of Revel's burger up the block. Booths are hard wooden squares, chairs are the generic metal ones you see everywhere, it's just not that nice. I don't understand what they think they are going for, and I'm not sure they do either.

This place sucks. What a joke of a Honduran place and if it’s strived for an upscale Nola fusion restaurant move to Fargo North Dakota where no one has taste. Save your money my meal last week week was the worst i ever had in 42 years in Nola
Visited for lunch on a weekday. Service was attentive and friendly. Was a touch loud, but you could still hold a conversation. We got the Anafre Hondureno, Huevos Creillos, and Dauphine Omelet. All solid options, nothing life changing. I will say the price was a bit high for what we got in terms of flavor and portion size.
