Our party of 6 dined in celebration of my son's 13th birthday. My son devoured the lamb chops and was unwilling to share because he loved them so much. I had the Coolinary Menu with Sea Scallops as entree after Creole Tomato & Corn appetizer. Delicious! My goddaughter had the Fruit de Mers that was fantastic! Finished off dinner with Baked Alaska and it was a total treat!
We had a wonderful meal celebrating my friend's birthday. We ordered too many deserts! The Baked Alaska was much bigger than I was expecting but it was well worth it.
During our recent visit to New Orleans, my girlfriend and I dined at Antoine's Restaurant for their special Coolinary Event brunch, held every August. This three-course meal, priced based on the chosen entrée, was a delightful experience from start to finish. Our server, Murphy, and his daughter, who assisted him, provided warm and attentive service that elevated our meal. Their friendly interactions made us feel welcomed and added a personal touch to the dining experience. For appetizers, I chose the Turtle Soup, which was rich, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned—a true highlight. My girlfriend opted for the Tomato and Gruyere Cheese, which she found equally delicious, with a perfect balance of fresh and savory notes. For the main course, I had the stuffed redfish, served with tender asparagus and a wonderfully flavorful rice that complemented the dish beautifully. My girlfriend enjoyed the buttermilk breaded chicken breast, which came with a delectable glaze that she couldn't stop raving about. Dessert was equally impressive. I savored the key lime pie, which struck the perfect balance of tart and sweet. My girlfriend's peaches and ice cream were a refreshing and delightful end to her meal. Overall, the food was exceptional, showcasing the culinary excellence Antoine's is known for. Combined with the outstanding service from Murphy and his daughter, this brunch was a memorable highlight of our trip. We highly recommend Antoine's for anyone looking to enjoy a special meal in New Orleans, especially during the Coolinary Event.
Lovely classic New Orleans eatery. Food was high quality and delicious. Service was impeccable. Lita was fabulous and made the evening enjoyable.
We went to enjoy the Coolinary month menu in August. It was well worth it. The service is always exemplary and the food most delicious and well presented. We also were lucky enough to get a tour of the private dining rooms with explanations of the Mardi Gras celebratory pictures and Antoine's special memorabilia. It's always a place worth going when in New orleans.
The best of New Orleans dining at an historic location. I live here and love the turtle soup because it's just like my grandmother made it!
Pompano Pontchartrain (Grilled pompano filet, butter poached jumbo lump crabmeat, white wine reduction, onion rice)
Oysters Rockefeller (Baked with Rockefeller sauce created in 1899 by second generation chef and proprietor Jules Alciatore)
Very traditional restaurant. We saw there was a dress code in the web page, which we respected but when we got there, many guests were in Shorts and flip flops. Very disappointing experience. Food was not that great, definitely not of an upscale restaurant and it was completely over priced. Umbo arrived cold and pompano fish was terribly dry and tasted like a simply rilled piece of dry fish. Service was good. Decoration of place was so out dated

The service is impeccable, the food sublime, the atmosphere as expected, oozing history. I started with the Oysters Rockefeller then as a main I enjoyed the Lamb Chops with Port Demi Glace, both were exceptional dishes with service to match. I was a single and felt right at home. An experience I will never forget! THANK YOU!!!

Overrated, expensive for the dishes offered, not even time to eat quietly, in short I do not recommend at all

We had a dinner fit for a king here. Everything brought to our table was visually appealing and tasted even better. I tried a little bit of everything from French onion soup to Red fish to Escargot.
Our wait staff was extremely attentive and friendly. It was great to hear a bit about the rich history of this place and explore the artifacts and displays that make you feel like you're in a living museum.

Antoine Alciatore opened Antoine’s in 1840, and it has continued since 1868 in its current location, and continues to be operated by his descendants. His son Jules invented Oysters Rockefeller. Other signature dishes include soufflé potatoes and baked Alaska. There are ten dining rooms and a wine vault with 25,000 bottles (destroyed and rebuilt after the Katrina flood). Many famous people have chosen to dine here and their photos line the walls.

Antoine‘s ambience was excellent as always, and the weight staff was wonderful to the food however left much to be desired as we remembered in past days how wonderful it was excellent. The Pompano, used to be their signature dish however, today it was dry, unseasoned and not prepared in the paper as it was then. The gumbo was jelly like as if it had been made many days ago. The baked the Alaska was wonderful.
Come here for the history, oldest restaurant in NOL. A true museum.
Food was ok, but overcooked and sadly it came cold.
Service was bizarre... Paul (server) was awesome. Rest of the staff was not customer focused. Items served to the wrong person, incorrect orders.... ugh...
Sad. Must see once, but I would not go back.
