Tried out the happy hour here on a recent trip to NOLA. We arrived just after 4 pm, when happy hour started, and the bar was packed. Luckily, we found a couple seats available at the bar. Service was great, despite the packed bar. Drinks were good and the appetizers were on point. This was a great spot for a bottle of wine and some good food. Randall at the bar took great care of my friend and I as we tried a few appetizers and some Pompano. The Chargrilled Oysters were delicious and the Pompano was light and well prepared. The soufflé potatoes- those were a miss, no seasoning and served with what I think was a butter that had some parsley but no seasoning. Went here for dessert and coffee after stuffing ourselves at another establishment. Love that about The Big Easy where you can restaurant/ bar hop all you want because they have late hours and are always friendly. (Makes it very easy to gain weight and get tipsy.)
