Very traditional restaurant. We saw there was a dress code in the web page, which we respected but when we got there, many guests were in Shorts and flip flops. Very disappointing experience. Food was not that great, definitely not of an upscale restaurant and it was completely over priced. Umbo arrived cold and pompano fish was terribly dry and tasted like a simply rilled piece of dry fish. Service was good. Decoration of place was so out dated

The service is impeccable, the food sublime, the atmosphere as expected, oozing history. I started with the Oysters Rockefeller then as a main I enjoyed the Lamb Chops with Port Demi Glace, both were exceptional dishes with service to match. I was a single and felt right at home. An experience I will never forget! THANK YOU!!!

Overrated, expensive for the dishes offered, not even time to eat quietly, in short I do not recommend at all

We had a dinner fit for a king here. Everything brought to our table was visually appealing and tasted even better. I tried a little bit of everything from French onion soup to Red fish to Escargot.
Our wait staff was extremely attentive and friendly. It was great to hear a bit about the rich history of this place and explore the artifacts and displays that make you feel like you're in a living museum.

Antoine Alciatore opened Antoine’s in 1840, and it has continued since 1868 in its current location, and continues to be operated by his descendants. His son Jules invented Oysters Rockefeller. Other signature dishes include soufflé potatoes and baked Alaska. There are ten dining rooms and a wine vault with 25,000 bottles (destroyed and rebuilt after the Katrina flood). Many famous people have chosen to dine here and their photos line the walls.

Antoine‘s ambience was excellent as always, and the weight staff was wonderful to the food however left much to be desired as we remembered in past days how wonderful it was excellent. The Pompano, used to be their signature dish however, today it was dry, unseasoned and not prepared in the paper as it was then. The gumbo was jelly like as if it had been made many days ago. The baked the Alaska was wonderful.

Come here for the history, oldest restaurant in NOL. A true museum.
Food was ok, but overcooked and sadly it came cold.
Service was bizarre... Paul (server) was awesome. Rest of the staff was not customer focused. Items served to the wrong person, incorrect orders.... ugh...
Sad. Must see once, but I would not go back.

I appreciate that at one time this was a class restaurant, but today it's just resting on its laurels. The food was mediocre at best, service was fair and atmosphere was OK. In contrast, we ate lunch at Mr. B's and it was 100% better than Antoine's.

Possibly the best restaurant I’ve ever been to. Definitely the best waiter I’ve ever had (BrianM)! Highly recommend the charbroiled oysters as an appetizer to pair with a Vieux Carre cocktail

Food was very good, but I ordered the cream brule for dessert and it didn't have that great toasted crunch topping and was a small serving. I ordered a mocktail and it wasnt very good. The atmosphere in our dining room (red) was definitely lacking. Small, light chairs with no padding. If you're there when it's very busy, it could be hard to hear tablemates. Didnt hear piped in music until I was in the bathroom. I heard so much about this restaurant...I was a bit taken aback.

Parking: Good luck finding a parking space. The restaurant has no parking and finding parking in the FQ is impossible. I don't know how the elderly and disabled even get to the restaurant. Literally!

My sister and I went here for our last dinner while vacationing in New Orleans & it was beyond fabulous. I had the filet and my sister had seafood and it was perfection. We also had the creme brulee and the pecan bread pudding. It was out of this world! I hope I get to come back here again!
