We found this delightful cafe near our Airbnb on our first day and came back two more days! It became 'our' spot for our stay. Great selection of baked goods and made to order sandwiches, salads, smoothies and more. Very relaxed atmosphere and we could linger over our coffee and food.

January 7th 2026 Finally the please you restaurant is open after being closed for 5 months . this is my favorite little hole in the wall restaurant in the city. T h e i r food is always delicious and the service is excellent. The fried catfish and potato salad is very good as were the liver and onions. Served with mashed potatoes and green peas both were served with a nice little house salad. their prices are reasonable. I highly recommend t h e please you. You won't be disappointed. I have eaten there many many times through the years

Rude staff. I asked for a modification to my order and I got a big attitude. I proceeded to tell them I was picky and asked for assistance, but the staff collectively started to laugh at me and say “what you see, is what you get.” I just felt like it was a very immature way of handling a situation, and that the staff should help out someone asking for help.

The mushroom muffin breakfast sandwich was loaded with flavor, the coffee/almond milk was excellent and the vibe was chill. I would recommend this spot to anyone looking for a casual experience, quality food and great coffee!

We were looking for a decent coffee place which offers the real deal: good coffee coming from a portafilter machine. Since the avenue cafe also offers breakfast, we decided to go all in! The food was very tasty and the coffee was great! (Approved by my Italian girlfriend) So folks if you come across this little beautiful cafe, hop in!
