Where do I start! What a beautiful meal. The house hot sauce is made fresh and was my favorite thing I tried during my stay. The paella, while not crispy on the bottom, was seasoned perfectly and cooked perfectly. The flavors of every dish blended beautifully and the server even went so far as to get me some hot sauce to take home. I'd go back and try everything on the menu. Very well done

This place is a hidden gem! We came in before a concert for a quick snack. We ordered the Peruvian ceviche, the guacamole and the crawfish queso. All of them were fabulous but the star was the queso. We then got the churrasco. The steak was a bit fatty but the flavor was still excellent and the potatoes were out of this world good. Super cute restaurant and great service as well.

Best paella I have had in forever

i thought this restaurant would be good for a date with my boyfriend however the food was egregiously overpriced for the portions and the actual taste. it was 26 dollars for a paella with garbanzo beans instead of gandules, and it was about 5 inches in diameter for the plate. serious letdown

Love the atmosphere of the restaurant. We went on a Sunday afternoon after a show at the Saenger - it was steady but not packed. We made reservations but would probably not have been needed at this time of day. Service was friendly and efficient. Ordered Tuna ceviche as an appetizer and also got pork arepas, and shrimp mofongo. All were delicious. Cocktails also very good.

Delicious food and great service in an attractive and casual setting. Short walk from the Ritz where we were staying.

A meal so perfect it brought tears to my eyes. My hat is off to the chef. Our server Meridith provided the highest standard of service. It would be worth a trip to New Orleans for no other reason than to eat at this restaurant.

I've traveled to New Orleans many times over the years and it's nice to try something new. Besame was delicious, super fresh, and light versus typically eating a lot of fried, heavy food, which is readily available.

We went around 1 on a Friday afternoon, so the lunch crowd had already disbursed. Service was quick and courteous. Atmosphere was quiet, but the decor was festive. Restaurant was quite clean and comfortable. We came based on the great reviews and the close proximity to our hotel. The location was unassuming (don’t miss it!) what we found was a gem that definitely should not be overlooked. All the reviews were not fake. We spent $100 which included 1 appetizer (ceviche negro our least favorite because one of us does not do spicy) and 3 tapas (we had one plate we took to go), 1 beer, 1 wine, and 20% tip. The best was the crawfish queso, which we put on our pork arripas. It was the perfect blend of creamy and savory (I was tempted to lick the bowl!) the empanadas we took to go. We will definitely return and highly recommend!

Literally walked in just to grab a drink while waiting for my bus. Sat at the bar and ask for my drink. I wasn’t greeted with a smile or anything. When they made my drink they didn’t make it in front of me like most bars. They made it and carried it around while they rung the drink up as if I was going to steal it. Once I was handed my drink I still wasn’t greeted with a smile or an enjoy. The service was very dry and gave we don’t want black people patronizing with us. The environment was very stereotypical and I do not recommend any persons of color to patronize with them ever. The drink was very good and potent though that’s the only good thing I experienced.
