The broccoli tacos are the best! The green salsa also tastes amazing.

Worth the relatively short trip from the busy NOLA scene aboard the RTA ferry (ride it and the red and green trolleys for $3/day?!). Quaint and VERY quiet neighborhood walk for about 10 mins. is worth it for a welcome siesta.
Spicy jalepeño margarita a
nd fish taco is so good.

Just do it... You'll love it and the break from crazy partyville for an afternoon!

If you’re on the hunt for the ultimate taco experience, look no further than Barracuda Taco Stand! This place is a hidden gem that truly lives up to the hype. The flavors are bold, fresh, and unforgettable, each bite a perfect balance of textures and spices.

The staff at Barracuda are friendly and efficient, making you feel like a valued guest even if it’s just a quick stop. The portions are generous, and the prices are more than reasonable for the quality you’re getting. Whether you’re a taco aficionado or just looking for a delicious bite, Barracuda Taco Stand is a spot you’ll want to keep coming back to. Highly recommend for anyone who loves authentic, flavor-packed tacos!

Visited this place Saturday and it was nice. Drinks were good and had me feeling even better..lol! Food was good, everything is freshly chopped and served. Only thing that threw me off was when I saw pomegranate seeds on my taco (I ordered three fish tacos) but it still was edible and good. Parking was challenging, you will have to walk…and the pricing is inexpensive!!! & the customer service was nice as well.

Took the Ferry over to Algiers solely to come to the Barracuda taco stand (and sure to also say we crossed the Mississippi while in NOLA.

It was 32 degrees and 100% humidity (over 90 I guess for Americans) so needless to say it was HOT and the walk from the ferry to the stand was brutal because of it.

Knowing what I know now, I would have walked through straight fire to get more of these tacos, chips and queso. We've back in Australia for a week and my husband (he just got two beef) has brought up several times that he didn't realise how good they were at the time.

I ordered 3 tacos, Pork, Beef and a Chicken, rated from 1-3 in the written order. From the tortilla, to how the meat was spiced and cooked as well as the varied toppings that accompanied each taco, these were phenomenal and a must visit if you're in New Orleans, quite possibly my favourite meal the whole time I was there. We also had the chips with queso which were delicious and chips were refillable!

Everyone who worked there was super nice as well and really friendly - which was world's apart from the majority of service we received.

The venue is also SUPER cute, outdoor seating only with big umbrellas, would be the perfect place to spend a day with friends and drink and eat your way through their menu.
