Bayou Wine Garden is a hidden gem near the bayou, offering a unique atmosphere with both indoor and outdoor accommodations. The bar serves tasty drinks, such as rum punch, margaritas, and frozen mango cocktails, and has a selection of sharable food portions. The courtyard, decorated with Christmas lights and gravel, provides a chill ambiance and is a must for enjoying the NOLA weather. Leashed dogs are allowed in the outdoor area, though the indoor space can feel a bit cramped. The wine list features a delicious Omen Cab/Zin/Merlot blend, and the menu includes popular items like crawfish, mussels, garlic parm fries, boudin balls, fish and chips, and fries with debris. The service is friendly and immediate, though it can be hit or miss. Happy Hour deals are excellent, and the lively spring/summer crawfish days make this spot a staple in NOLA. The owner and event coordinator are great to work with, and the atmosphere is excellent for celebrations. The food is always great, and the bartender Norma is known for her excellent service and making great French 75 cocktails.
