Bayou Wine Garden reminds me of the weinstubes in the riesling region of Germany. Just a great laid-back vibe!

The food was not that good. The service was just okay and the flies were horrendous.
Double check the service fees.

And of my nearly 1800 reviews of the places that I have had the opportunity to visit all over the world; Europe. Asia, Africa, Australia, and North & South America, none have hurt the feelings or a rude response in such a manor as this place.

yes, it's true, I have been to better managed fast food establishments.

instead of a deep dive into my past reviews, perhaps you should focus on improving your own business. A professional establishment would address feedback constructively and not resort to personal attacks.
Do something about your flies and don't covertly sneak in a fantastical service charge.

Bayou Beer/Wine Garden hosted our event last night and it was so perfect! We had the whole interior wine bar with access to the outside patio. The atmosphere was excellent for a celebration. We ordered catering for the group and the food was excellent (huge menu with a variety of selections and it was all good), as well as the presentation. The owner and event coordinator were great to work with. I would definitely recommend this space as an event venue.

This place is amazing! We came to New Orleans for the Super Bowl and it was recommended to us by a good friend. The vibe, the service, the food were all tier 1. You have to try the crawfish and the burger! On top of that, I was pregnant when I visited and they offered non alcoholic beer!

Love this place! Food is always great, atmosphere always very chill. But let me tell you about this fabulous bartender at the Bayou Wine Garden named Norma. One of the most nicest and friendliest people you can come across. Very courteous, charismatic, chatty, and makes a great French 75! She is spectacular! Always attentive, always has a smile on her face. She made me and my friends feel like we belong there. If you talk to her, you may find you have some things in common. For example, we both don't like JLo (LOL). Great convo on how we think she's talentless. =) All kidding aside, make sure you get Norma to make your drink. I hope she is a very valued employee at Bayou Wine Garden.

I’ve always enjoyed this place, but after experiencing blatant racism tonight, I’ll be taking my business elsewhere—Wrong Iron and other establishments will be getting my support instead.
My friend and I were waiting at the bar when Norma, the bartender, completely ignored us. A white woman walked up a few minutes after us, and Norma immediately greeted her with a friendly “Hey!” The woman asked about beer on tap, and Norma answered before moving down the bar, greeting another group of white women with, “I’ll be right with you.” Meanwhile, we were still standing there, unacknowledged.

It wasn’t until the manager walked in that Norma even acknowledged our presence—she pointed us out, and he came over with a curt, “What can I help you with?” After waiting for so long, I explained our experience with Norma. We were still willing to order, but instead of addressing the issue, he dismissively responded, “Well, I’m here now, so?” No apology. No accountability. Just indifference.

This is not the level of service I’ve experienced here before, and it’s unacceptable in a city as diverse as New Orleans. My friends and I—many of us educators—frequent BBG and BWG regularly, especially during crawfish season. But tonight, the lack of acknowledgment for the discrimination we faced made it clear that our presence isn’t valued. He tried to not give us our money back for the food we ordered, but we are not spending money in places that do not value us.

As we were leaving and sharing our experience, someone remarked, “Oh, they’re always like that over there.” That says everything.

Do better.

Super Bowl Sunday. Thought this Bar would be the perfect place for locals to watch the big game hosted in our city... big mistake. While the food from Bayou Beer Garden was phenominal as always, and was served quickly, given the gameday crowd, the atmosphere was severely lacking. With the change in weather to rain, it's expected to have some patrons come in and take shelter. However, to allow several people to come inside, take up person space of those at seated at tables, and smoke inside is a different story. Also very disappointed in their decision, and to stand on their decision, to wait until kickoff to turn on the sound for the game, even when multiple patrons asked for them to turn off the music and put on the sound. Missed all of the pregame acknowledgements, celebrations, and performances. Even when the game officially started the sound didn't come on until the middle of the 1st Quarter, but my group and I had already decided to take the 2 block walk in the rain, to leave and watch it at home.

This whole experience was extremely disappointing, especially since I've been there before for LSU and Saints Games.

We came to eat lunch and watch a football game with our 5 month old nephew and a woman who worked here ran outside to tell us that we were not allowed in with a baby because the baby was under 21. The restaurant was also empty. My brother and sister in law are restaurant owners here in NOLA and used to come here on the regular. As people who work in the service industry, we were appalled by her rudeness and have never experienced a restaurant refusing food service because of a baby, regardless of the law. We confirmed with a sheriff here that that is company policy, and not actually the law. Absolutely will not be back.

Great atmosphere. Automated service. Mussels were excellent. Gumbo needed seafood, but it was inexpensive. Fries were great.

Cool hangout spot, but the golda burger was way too sweet. Ceveiche was okay. There are plenty of drink options, though.

The frosé was perfectly chilled and sweet

The thing that really surprised me was the chicken sandwich. I ordered it for the sake of getting drunk food, but it ended up being one of the best chicken sandwiches I've ever had. It was so juicy, crispy, and the flavors perfectly tied together. I'd recommend the drinks and would really recommend getting the chicken sandwich!
