I recently dined here for the first time and was surprised I had not heard of this place sooner. The food, atmosphere, and service were all great. The hi-lights of the meal include the gnocchi and the halibut special, although everything we had was delicious.

The vibe was calm and relaxing. The service was great. Our waitress did her best to make sure we were accommodated. The food was cold and lacked the flavor you would expect from a establishment in New Orleans. I ordered a steak (medium temp) and when I received it the butter did not melt on top.

New Orleans locals and can easily say this was the best meal we’ve had in months. Absolutely excellent. We got happy hour drinks at the bar (3-5pm on Sun) and then transitioned to the restaurant dining room for dinner. We split the duck with sweet potato hash and the scallops with crab hash. Both absolutely INCREDIBLE. Also, for my allergy peeps, many menu items were dairy free & gluten free - they have a designated gluten free fryer.

We came here for brunch and every single thing we tasted was incredible. Their biscuits might be some of the best I’ve ever had, and the grilled banana bread with maple bacon butter was absolutely incredible. Highly recommended!

First visited this restaurant while the “Barbie” craze was going on. My friend and I decided to do a cutesy Barbie brunch here. It was lovely! Since then, I’ve been back more times than I can count.Food is always great, the cauliflower is one of my faves on the menu! Drinks are always on point as well! At the time they carried an espresso crème brûlée, to do for!!!! They’ve changed the menus but still great items!

Amazing spot. The drinks were delicious and perfectly balanced. We had the fried green tomatoes, and mushroom toast appetizers and were thrilled with both. The scallops were perfectly prepared and were served with a delicious sauce. The duck confit fabulous... But duck confit is always fabulous.Highly recommend.

I came in to celebrate my best friend's engagement. The environment was so refreshing and upbeat and comfortable. The staff had our table ready for us as soon as we walked in for our reservation. The food and drinks were brought out very quickly. I highly recommend the banana bread and the calamari. Also really great biscuits with the Banquet Breakfast and loved the Bloody Mary. Ethan and Kat took care of us and were so friendly and attentive. Could not recommend this place more.

We landed in NOLA in the evening and made a late reservation at this gem on Resy after reading good reviews. Upon entering we are greeted by Ethan, who is no joke, the nicest person we have ever met. He curated a special experience, giving us the best recommendations on the menu as well as what to do in the city. He really explained the items on the menu well, connecting it to the chef’s philosophy and style, and just made the meal more special. We ordered the firecracker calamari as an appetizer (best calamari ever), steak frites as the entree (the garlic butter was insane), and the bread pudding as dessert (delicious). Their drink menu was out of this world and complimented the meal well. 10/10We learned that the restaurant just recently moved to NOLA after being in NJ for decades. Later on, we were greeted by the owner who thanked us for coming and gave us these sweet goodie bags.We are so glad that we stopped in, knowing it would set the bar high to start our foodie tour in New Orleans, but it definitely stood the test and remained our top experience from the entire weekend. Beggars Banquet will for sure be a must go for us anytime we come back!
