Blue Bayou Restaurant and Oyster Bar

blue bayou is number one to me i love it the host wynea is the most sweetest such a sweet heart thanks wynea for all the love you have shown. the food was incredible them crabcakes were delicious see yall again soon

great food great music most of all great host wynea made us feel comfortable and at home entering blue bayou was the best thing

my experience at blue bayou was fun my favorite part was eating and talking to the sweet host wynea she made us laugh and gave us a great idea on what to eat off the menu ❤️

Ate dinner there last night and sat at the oyster bar side. There were 2 bartenders working. The female one came over and took our drink and app orders. Never came back to check on us until after we received and ate both and our drinks were empty. The two nice gentlemen working the oyster station were great. They got us our silverware and served us our apps because the bartender wasn’t picking up her food that was ready. The chargrilled oysters were awesome. The alligator bites were good but it was about 10 little pieces for $26. We did not stay for an entree for two reasons, the bartender never asked and the food was over priced.

We visited the restaurant this past Saturday 3/22/25. Our waiter Cash was very friendly however his female co-worker was rude and came off very fraudulent! When it was time for us to pay our bill. Cash placed the hand-held pay machine on the table and walked away. Right afterwards comes the female (who did not wait on us at all) trying to take the machine out my hand while my card was inserted. As I entered my PIN number she’s hovering over me. There was a tussle over the device and words were exchanged between us. When she was asked why she’s at our table, she stated “I work here”. But that doesn’t mean you have the right to forceable remove the device from my hands as the machine is going through the process. The manager was called over and he saw that machine was not finished with processing the payment. She clearly was up to something with that machine, and was mad when I didn’t allow her to take it away. She claimed she needed it to go outside and process another customer payment. Not with my card still in the machine Silly! She lacks Customer Service Skills. Clearly she needs to be retrained or fired. The experience was totally unnecessary.

Had a fabulous meal here during the Winter Shutdown 2 weeks ago!! So thankful you were open and truly appreciate the staff that came into work! hubby had redfish with shrimp etouffee- amazing! It was also great to have a local blues band hunkering down with us. Thanks for the good food and thanks for being open! 💖 (Bummed, I can't remember the name of our waiter but they were amazing 😘)

Wouldn’t recommend… oysters are good but overall over priced. A terrible tourist trap at least give good food you are literally on canal

Bar staff is not able to keep up and the management is clueless to see the bar is failing. Step up management! Help your staff and lead. Managing is not standing around trying to look important. It’s to step in and lead and pull your departments struggling to succeed. Owners you should be more involved too!

Terrific food if you get what you order. They mucked up our order twice, our server seemed to be in a world of her own. But, when the food came, it was delicious, over priced but delicious
