Probably the closest thing you'll get to authentic German food in the city of New Orleans. Had pork schitzel and it was not only a great portion, but also cooked to perfection and well worth the price. Unlike deutsches house (which while good tries too hard to be ' authentic ' ) this place does German food right, with options like fries (a staple food, surprisingly) and doner kebab (also a staple) available.

I’ve been here a few times the last time I brought my mother as a older woman who doesn’t try a lot of food she liked it. Most of the proteins are very tender and delicious. They could do a little seasoning but going here when Oktoberfest isn’t in town is a great alternative.

Joel made our night when we went to bratz y’all for my boyfriend’s birthday. It was slow, and he took time to discuss the beer options with us. Go see Joel!

Outdoor is great at this place. The food is always right on. I tried the roasted 1/2 chicken with Brussels sprouts this time and really enjoyed it.

Specifically requested to come here for my birthday last night and had a great time! This place is a gem, been coming here for years. Consistently good food, huge schnitzel plates, chill atmosphere, friendly staff. Dean Zucchero & Co. always providing good tunes. Great places for families or for a group of friends looking to Oktoberfest. So once you had your slice of pizza from Pizza D and realize you're still hungry- slide right over here :)

We absolutely love this place. There is so much care that goes into house made baked goods and sausages. They have an excellent German beer selection, including non alcoholic options. Atmosphere is casual and comfortable, and the staff could not be friendlier. Overall 10/10!!!
