Corner convenience store and hot bar. They're basically a neighborhood institution at this point. While I came for a shrimp po boy, they literally have anything fried you can think of. Plus being New Orleans, you got pho and fried rice as well. My shrimp po boy was good, the bread wasn't chewy or dry and had a decent amount of shrimp. You can also get your drinks, beer, and other snacks and food stuffs.
Gumbo: 8/10. Flavor is there for sure! It comes piping hot! And you can ask for light rice if that's your preference.
Fried Shrimp: 8/10. Again, flavor there! Crunch is audible, yet the shrimp is juicy!

It's worth a stop indeed!
This place is a hidden gem, tucked away in the back of a store and easy to miss if you’re not looking for it. But once you find it, you’re in for a treat.

The counter-service setup is simple and no-frills, but the food is anything but. The gumbo is rich, flavorful, and tastes like it’s been simmering all day. The po’boys are authentic, generously filled, and perfectly dressed. Every bite feels like the real deal.

Totally unexpected,...
