Subpar service. This was the second visit this happened. As always, our food was outstanding, but the service was poor. As a regular, I've become accustomed to a better level of service.
Small quaint restaurant with nice ambiance. The staff is friendly and knowledgable. The drinks are well made and the wine pour generous. The cheese Board was delicious with 4 large servings of domestic and imported cheeses. The toasted baguette rounds were crisp and warm. The house made ravioli was stuffed with Louisiana crawfish, sautéed mushroom duxelle, spinach and topped with lemon beurre blanc. The serving size was 3 in number but they added a 4th so our table could each...
It was my first time at Cafe Degas. The venue was lovely. We are very spoiled in New Orleans, with some of the best food in the world. Both myself and my companion felt that the food was lacking flavor. I believe in second chances, so will be back and hope this was an exception.
