Cafe Negril is a bit of a dive bar. But they have great live music! And they have a fantastic open jam on Tuesday nights! I was only there twice, while visiting New Orleans. I had a few drinks there, but have no idea whether they serve food. I recommend Cafe Negril for the music!

Fantastic venue on frenchman with a great vibe.
Came to partake in the open jam which I believe is every Tuesday when I was over visiting from Scotland to marry my now wife who's from the local area on the west bank in marerro! Lol.
Found everyone very welcoming and I was a bit nervous but had a blast getting a cheeky jam in on the guitar in frenchman. It was great fun.
Will definitely revisit to meet musicians etc once we get the visa situation sorted out and I can live with my missus over there.

Cafe Negril is a live music venue located on Frenchmen Street. The atmosphere is vibrant and enjoyable for all. The live music is of great quality. Ranges jazz, blues, funk, reggae, and rock and roll.
Band was 10/10, the music and vibes were some of the best we had all night. We started our night there, went bar hopping and came back to end the last 2-3 hours of the night there.
